The Barefoot Park is a thematic space created with the purpose of raising awareness among its visitors “starting with their feet and ending with their spirit.” It is ideal for walking and relaxing. In the Park you will find specialized guides, who, using their experience and knowledge, will seek to take you through a magical world between nature and science.
In this place you will find a representation of what an Antioquia town is, you can enjoy the typical gastronomy and the best view of the city of Medellín. The guide will be accompanying you at all times and we will arrive at the place in the tourist vehicle arranged
The Metrocable is a cable car network, of the monocable type; for the urban mobilization of passengers in Medellín.
The Medellín River has been one of the main sources of development in the city. Not in vain, the first Metro line was built following that flow that crosses the entire Metropolitan Area and creating a harmonious relationship between the region and its tributary. This is just one example of a territorial planning model that has been consolidated for 60 years and that allows the planning and integrated growth of the territory to be coordinated while respecting the river.
Our guides pick up passengers in the lobby or waiting room of the hotel where they are staying. Travelers are then taken for a ride on the Metro cable cars or better known as Metro Cable, this place offers incredible panoramic views of the city of Medellín, ideal for those passionate about photography. Then we went with the travelers to the neighborhood of Comuna 13, there we showed them street art of the place composed of a Break Dance Show, a Rap Show and what interests us most, all the graffiti in the place. Sometimes when we are lucky we can see the works that are in progress and when this happens we can interact with the artists. Throughout the entire tour in Comuna 13 we will be accompanied by a Local guide who will tell us the meaning of each of the works.
To carry out the tour in the Commune 13 we will use the electrical stairs of the place, which represent the engine of change for this community. Initially they were installed to improve the mobility of people within the place, but over the years it became the letter of introduction of the Commune 13, that is, with this infrastructure work began all the transformation of the place accompanied by art urban.

BEWARE unless you speak Spanish, this tour is NOT for you (even though it is listed as being offered in English). Up to the actual day of the tour, the tour operator was not clear on pickup time or location. Told to go to park (not a specific area of the park, just a large park) to wait for pickup. In order to participate in this tour, a phone is necessary as important communication during the tour occurs through Whats app. We were told to arrive at park by 7:30 am and pickup finally happened at 8:15 am (finally told through Whats app where to locate bus at 8:14 am). We continued pickups until approximately 9 am. We paid for the English tour and was assigned Janeth as the guide. From the start, her English was very difficult to understand. I understand both Spanish and English (but my family does not) and her Spanish explanations were always longer and more detailed than the English explanations. In addition, she always gave the Spanish explanations first which meant that the English speakers always ended up with less time at each stop. At several stops, she failed to even provide the English explanation as she was preoccupied with helping the Spanish speaking members of the tour and other things. It felt more like transport from location to location than a tour. After the first stop, the bus would not start. After several minutes, we were told that a new bus was coming without further explanation. Approximately 15 minutes later, the driver got a few men to push the bus so that he could essentially "pop the clutch" to get the bus started. We were then rushed onto the same bus to continue our tour. Our time for exploration at each stop was shortened to make up time; yet, after we were loaded back on the bus each time, we waited at least 5-10 minutes before moving without explanation (everyone was on bus so we were not waiting for anyone). The only saving grace for the entire day was that when we reached Communa 13, we were assigned a different English speaking guide (@makz_one1) who was great. The tour was listed as lasting 8 hours; however, it was closer to 11 hours due to long unexplained waiting and not actual time for exploration (time for exploration was actually shorter than listed at each location). We finally were dropped off after 6 pm (was supposed to return by 4 pm). The tour was so bad that most of the English speaking visitors actually left early and returned to their hotels by taxi.
We were picked up around 8:30 sharp. Guides were Juan David and Willy as driver. Mateo was our guide at Comuna 13. All of the guides were superb. I do tours myself and I was very impressed and their ability to keep everyone entertained and with enerrgy throughout the day! Def recommend this trio and Maxi Tours.
What looked like a good and varied tour turned out quite disappointing as we didn’t get to see all we were promised and were left standing around for over an hour waiting for our guide and other tour party members who seemed to have got lost in Commune 13 . Started off well but then went downhill- and no apology from the guide when we got back late at 6.30 Better luck for others hopefully who do this tour !
The experience was amazing. Our guide Juan was exceptionally awesome. Very knowledge base and helpful. As english speakers he ensured we were well taken care of and always in the know. Aside from our guide being on the ball of things, the tour it self is something I will be talking about for days. The rich history, energy and friendliness of the persons there will draw anyone in. They were accommodative and made our vist very memorable. This experience is something to book and look forward to.
A very beautiful experience, the city tour was excellent, more than we expected, our guide Juan David and the driver Pablo were excellent hosts, I recommend them 100%, Greetings from El Salvador 🇸🇻
We had an incredible experience on our Medellín City Tour and Comuna 13 tour! The city itself is beautiful and full of history, culture, and transformation, but what truly made this experience unforgettable was our tour guide, Janeth. Janeth was absolutely amazing—knowledgeable, passionate, friendly, and engaging from start to finish. She shared the history of Medellín and Comuna 13 in a way that was both informative and inspiring, giving us a deeper appreciation for the city’s remarkable transformation. She answered every question with enthusiasm and made everyone in the group feel welcome. Walking through Comuna 13, seeing the vibrant street art, local performers, and hearing the stories behind the neighborhood was an experience we’ll never forget. Janeth’s genuine love for her city and her ability to connect with people made the tour truly special. If you’re visiting Medellín, I highly recommend this tour—and if you have the opportunity to tour with Janeth, consider yourself lucky. She is an extraordinary guide who goes above and beyond to make your experience memorable. Thank you, Janeth, for an unforgettable day!
Guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating since I dont speak Spanish
Alejandra and the driver Jan Carlos did great job with all the group. Mateo, from comuna 14, was great too. We are going to comeback by next year.
The City Tour was a great experience and although the tour guide was friendly, I wish she would have engaged a bit more with the tourists.
Good tour, the commune guide was excellent, she gave us a very good explanation, my recommendation is that the main guide give a little more detail about the sites visited, which is what one expects. The lunch was super delicious, the whole tour was well organized.
