Andorra was amazing. Unfortunately, it’s so far that a daytrip from Barcelona takes 3 hours each direction (with no traffic) so you’re really rushed the entire time. Sebastian started out great, he was easy to communicate with via WhatsApp, showed up on time, and is friendly. But he has a very compact car so the 3 of us were cramped. He had to stop several times to use the bathroom (since he was fasting, and we didn’t have to go once during the drive). It was snowy on top of the mountain so he said we’d have to go on our own since he wasn’t wearing the right shoes (old Reebok sneakers)…I was hoping he could take photos of my family. Then he gave us 3 hours to explore the city on our own. Food service was slow so I asked him to wait an extra 15 min and he said he had somewhere to be at 8:30. So he wasn’t able to accommodate what I consider a reasonable request for a private tour that cost $1k+ and he was tipped $50 usd. He was nice, but he wasn’t very helpful. Just a driver…not a tour guide, not a photographer, not a companion in the city. I still would recommend going on a daytrip to Andorra, but if you want a comprehensive experience…this isn’t the tour for you or maybe it’s just Sebastian.
I had a similar experience to one of the other reviewers. After booking, we were not able to get in touch with them, so we were unsure whether the tour would take place at all. The night before the tour, we were finally able to get in touch with him via WhatsApp. He then informed us that he would not be able to conduct the tour the next day because he had not booked a rental car and none were available. As a result, the tour did not take place as planned, and we had to change our plans at the last minute and rearrange our schedule for the following day, which was inconvenient and disappointing. Fortunately, we had one open day, so we were still able to enjoy the tour. However, the tour was not customizable as described. During the tour, we requested to be dropped off at a specific location, but he stuck to his original plan and insisted on dropping us at the designated parking lot instead. The tour itself included three stops: a scenic viewpoint where we could take pictures, a visit to Santa Chroma to see a church, and finally a drop-off in downtown where we walked around and had lunch. We paid $1,000 for two adults and one child, and it did not feel worth the price. Overall, it was a good tour, but it was not customizable and was overpriced for what was offered.
Magnificent day, stunning scenery. Antonio, our guide is very experienced and passionate about the local history and took great care of us. Highly recommended!
We had the pleasure of taking a day trip from Barcelona to Andorra with our wonderful guide Antonio. His knowledge and insights spanning history, language, politics and sports made for an informative and enjoyable day. His choice for a lunch spot was tailor made for our tastes and provided a perfect slice of Andorran life. We would not hesitate to book with him any time we are in the area.
Tailored, customized to what our interests were. Antonio is knoledgable and passionate about this region and it shows.
Yes this is a long day yes, you get to add Andorra to your country list But what you may not expect is a really full and engaging experience. We love history and it was provided all day. Great overview but also stops that were tailored to our interests. Highly recommend!
Our tour guide Antonio was excellent. Very knowledgeable about Andorra (and the whole area between Barcelona and Andorra). The day was uncharacteristically snowy - especially for March - but Antonio managed to get us around safely and we still saw many sights throughout our tour. Interesting churches, beautiful vantage points and a chance to see the picturesque towns of Andorra. This was what we wanted.
Antonio was a great guide. Andora is about 3 hours from Barcelona but worth it. We liked this tour because tour was personalized to us. We visited several towns. He is very informative on the history and we learned a lot. There is a lot to see but this gives you a quick snapshot off the country. We stopped for lunch at a beautiful restaurant and had som Andorran dishes. Highly recommend.
Our Driver Antonio was kind and provided informations about Andorra and took us to the nearby villages
Melhor maneira de conhecer Andorra When i was searching how i would plann my trip to Andorra from Barcelona, my bigges issue was, i only had 1 day, so ineould have to maie the most of it. So i found With locals, that proposed a private tour where i could costumize acording to my needs. Thats exacly what happened. We where able to reach diferent parts of Andorra, not only the main city, we went to pictoresque smaller villages and scenary. Tony knows the place as the palm of his hand, so you make the plan and he makes it happen. If you dont have many days to spare, and you really wanna know the country, not just the shops at the center (wich we still did go by the way), i believe this is your best option!
