City Cruises New York: Bateaux Premier Dinner Cruise

Two years ago I did a dinner cruise in Dubai and that experience was really on another level for me. That cruise felt much more like real value for money afterwards. In it I booked another dinner cruise. With this cruise, however, I strongly felt that it was mainly about making as much extra revenue as possible per guest. The food itself was very good. That's not where the problem lies. Only I found the amount of 3 courses very limited for what you pay for the cruise. Dinner also started quite early, while you still have a long evening ahead of you. Combined with the high prices for drinks, that gave me a somewhat commercial impression. For a glass of wine, for example, you can easily pay around €18. As a result, the total price of the evening quickly increases further. The cruise itself is certainly beautiful. You sail along the skyline for a long time and have a beautiful view of the large buildings. Yet I also found that part in Dubai more impressive. There you really sailed between the huge buildings at times, bringing the skyline much closer and making the whole experience feel more spectacular. In summary: good food, a nice cruise and beautiful views, but for the price I clearly expected more of it. Especially when I compare it to my dinner cruise in Dubai, I found this cruise simply too expensive for what you end up getting. For me therefore not good value for money.

Great cruise, well worth the trip.

People should know that go dinning before they get on your boat. People should know to have a meal before the boarding. This cruises is billed as a dinning cruises, but a tasting cruises is a better description of the cruises. The music was great and everything else was good. I told my lady don't eat, because we are going dinning.

This dinner cruise was exactly what we wanted it to be and more. The atmosphere, the lighting, the music, the view. Best thing we booked for our long weekend trip to NY!

Victor failed to register us and we were declined entrance to the cruise at the ship. Ruined our while night.

Food was terrible for a supposedly premier plated luxury cruise, 1 star quality, probably $20 value of food that you can pick up from any grocery store hot section.. . The boat’s view was great with large glass windows and not a crowded boat at all maybe due to the price tag. Servers were nice. But nothing was luxurious about the food. Portions was tiny (for a petitefemale who does not eat much）and tastes bland, and any semi decent looking food on the menu was an additional charge to the $250 pp we already paid for. There needs to be some minimum standard to the food you serve if you are advertising this as a luxurious plated dinner cruise experience and charging as such…! I would definitely choose the buffet boat for much lower cost next time.

It was lovely and I like that everyone dressed nicely and it was very elegant. The dinner was also delicious and the views were spectacular.

We had an absolute blast. The entertainment was fantastic and the food was delish! Our waitress was so sweet too!! Beautiful night and the perfect way to spend our 28th anniversary ❤️

The staff was absolutely amazing, especially when my friend became sick. They were attentive, caring, and incredibly helpful, which I truly appreciated. The atmosphere was also great, and I really enjoyed the live singing and the band. It made for a fun and memorable experience. Unfortunately, the food was a huge disappointment. For the amount of money we spent, I expected the food to be amazing, but it was honestly terrible and did not come close to matching the price. While I’m glad we had the experience and really appreciated the staff and entertainment, the quality of the food would keep me from recommending this place.

It was okay, but food was very average. Music too loud for our taste. Overpriced. Water was advertised as included, and we were charged $10 for a two liter bottle of water. Overall, our experience was disappointing.
