We offer more than just chocolate, Firstly, the chocolate tour begins with the cultural and biological background of cacao in Costa Rica. It further introduces into the collecting, fermenting, grinding and finally the making of chocolate, the drink of the gods. Secondly, we talk about coffee and its importance for Costa Rica's economic and cultural development. We have a showroom with important coffee picking instruments and a better explanation of the process of coffee production. We want to show you how to make Café-Chorreado. Amongst other sampling methods. Finally, we want to look at one of the most important aspects of Costarican culture and tradition, the trapiche. Here we grind sugar cane to extract the juice and make all kinds of local and delicious candy. This is for sure the sweetest tour in the area. Sergio was an amazing guide. He was very knowledgeable about the chocolate making process from the history of the cocoa plant, the growing harvesting and actual chocolate making process. He shared his knowledge about coffee in Costa Rica and what makes it some of the best if not the best coffee in the world. Not to mention he made one of the best pour overs I’ve ever had with the best coffee I’ve ever had. It seemed like a good price for the experience and lunch was included. I’m sure kids would love the sugar cane drinks but for the most part I’d call it an adult tour because of the dark chocolate and coffee. It was a lovely 3+ hr afternoon spent with a small group of only 4 people in our group, I’m sure there are lager groups in the high season. The whole experience was very laid back in the middle of a lovely Costa Rican setting.

I was skeptical about this tour that my wife wanted to do. But it was amazing. It wasn’t a big group, so it felt personal. A lot I didn’t know about coffee and chocolate. Worth the two hours(ish)

Great tour if you love chocolate and coffee. You can learn a lot and see the process from the Cacao tree to tasting the fruit and making chocolate, along with coffee tasting. Our tour guide, Juan, was very passionate and knowledgeable. The price was $69, which included pickup and drop-off plus lunch.

Sergio was a fantastic guide, very informative, fun and willing to answer all our questions. We weren’t sure how interested our kids (11 and 15) would be in the tour, but Sergio did a great job of involving them and they ended up loving the tour. Really fascinating and some delicious samples too!

We had an excellent chocolate and coffee tour with Brian! He was incredibly knowledgeable about both the chocolate- and coffee-making processes and did a wonderful job explaining everything along the way. We were a family of five, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The lunch afterward was excellent as well! Three of us had the chicken, while the other two had the fish. Both were beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. After several days of hiking tours, we really appreciated having a more relaxed, low-key experience. This tour was the perfect change of pace, while still providing lots of interesting information and a great hands-on experience. We highly recommend this tour—you definitely won’t want to miss it!

This tour was one of the highlights of our vacation in Costa Rica. Brian was not only knowledgeable but so kind and generous. My family and I consistently apply natural medicine in our daily lives, so getting to see how these plants can co-exist with other plants, learning about natural pesticides along with the right climate for certain plants to grow was truly an experience. Then he elevated the experience further with the coffee and chocolate interactive portion. Learning about the true cocoa process, how coffee should be properly made and then having fresh drinks made with sugar cane made this tour something we will never forget. The farm is a work of art that truly integrates the beauty of Costa Rica’s rich ecosystem. This is a MUST see for anyone visiting.
