Chocolate tour in Bern with chocolate tasting

Description
After registration, the meeting point is at the Käfigturm. Then you walk through the old town. On the way, you can enjoy Bern's chocolate history. You will be served well-known chocolates. At the shop of a small chocolatier, you will also receive a box with a selection of award-winning chocolates. Conching was developed in Bern and has become the standard method for making chocolate worldwide. This is Bern's most important chocolate history, but at the same time it is also the least known. By being shown the conching technique, you will learn the true story of today's chocolate (melted chocolate). At the end, you will have seen the old town of Bern from a sweet perspective. Each guest must then decide for themselves whether Bern was a chocolate capital or whether the claim is just marketing.

our tour guide Felix was great! He really paced out the stops really nicely mixed in with information about Bern. The history of chocolate was very interesting. He had tons of samples for us to try. He was also great about keeping it in the shade on a hot day -highly recommend.
Absolutely great tour with lots of history of both chocolate and Bern. Felix is great and you can tell this is a passion for him. Lots of treats along the way as well and on a hot day a nice stop for some gelato. Would highly recommend taking the time to do this tour.
You get to eat lots of chocolate and learn about its history in Bern. We learned a lot, plus you walk off some of the chocolate!
It’s great experienced and a lot of information you will learned and you also tasted different kinds of chocolate.
Felix has an incredible knowledge and passion for the history of chocolate in Bern. The walk was manageable for all ages and fitness levels and there was a good variety and number of chocolates. The number of chocolate tastings was good value for money, especially with the included gelato and take-home mini taster. Please note you don't end at the starting point, it is closer to the bear pit.
The history of Swiss chocolate making was the focus this tour. Samples were provided throughout. Felix did his job as advertised
Me and my friend had a wonderful trip with the guide. He explained stories and had slightly different printed out pictures that helped us visualize what he was talking about. He was also generally very nice and we talked a lot about other things as well. We got lots of fantastic chocolate from different companies and heard the story of how they were made. So on top of it all we got a free voucher for a little ice cream.
This chocolate tour was fantastic! Even though it was extremely hot, we were still able to enjoy delicious chocolate and walk the beautiful city of Bern. Felix was a great tour guide. He was super knowledgeable and was able to keep the chocolate from melting all day. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone who wants to enjoy a ton of chocolate in the place where it was perfected. It was a great way to learn about the history of Bern.
We toured on a hot day, but Felix kept us in the shade as much as possible. We learned about the history of Swiss Chocolate, as well as more about the country. Many delicious tastes of chocolate are part of the tour and we all left with an appreciation of this Swiss confection!
So much more than we expected. This was a very informative tour about the birth of Swiss chocolate and the founding of companies that have been around longer than my country has existed. The tastings were fantastic, and the tour enjoyable!
