We will begin our tour with the visit to real Mayan house, where you will know how the Mayans used their cacao beans as currency, learn of their traditions, their day to day life, clever gardening techniques and even try a freshly made tortilla topped with a sauce regional made primarily of Chocolate. Become an expert in handmade chocolate and let the sensuality of chocolate catch your senses in our Margarita and Chocolate Workshop. In our workshop you will learn how to make your handmade chocolate bar with the authentic Mayan recipe, using the appropriate utensils.. Brilliant experience! Angel was our guide and we learned so much from him about chocolate making in Mexico. I would really recommend the chocolate and margarita workshop as it was such fun. There is a lovely shop with lots of different things made with chocolate but it was really nice that they were not 'pushy' there at all.
My wife and I visited the Mayan Cacao. What a pleasure it was to learn about and create chocolate. Angel was our guide and was super informative and pleasant. 10/10 experience.
We really enjoyed this. Paty our guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We learned about the history of chocolate and got to make our own chocolate from the cacao beans. Then we made our own delicious chocolate margaritas.

Angel was so patient and instructive. We learned a lot about culture as we made our own cacao. The gift shop had lots of offerings to take home, as well as fruit popsicles for the kids. For adults there's a bar featuring chocolate themed cocktails and alcoholic slushees 😋
