We weren’t impressed after reading the negative reviews, but we were very apprehensive about the tour until we actually tried it ourselves. It was great! If you don’t like vendors bothering you, no problem, just politely decline- no big deal, they will let you be. I don’t really understand the negative comments about it, we had no issues. Just be nice about it, they are just people trying to make a living. Bought some souvenirs. Food was awesome! Guide, Gregorio, was entertaining and knowledgeable. At least this provider pick us up from our hotel and brought us back, as promised. Another similar tour advertised pickup and drop off, but then asked us to go somewhere else - needless to say, we cancelled it and booked this one.
Booked our experience the day before. Was told that the driver will pick us up at 7 am from the hotel lobby. We woke up early and was waiting at the lobby but the driver never showed up. Viator did refund us the whole money.
Sergio was an excellent guide. It was a pleasure to listen to his stories and ask all sorts of questions about the Mayan history. Cenote was great. Lunch great. Tequila tasting great. The bus could have been a bit more comfy to be honest, quite tight for tall people but overall great experience.
Trip of a lifetime! Thanks for the entire experience! Kudos to Sam and Xavi for the team they are! Wonderful!
Panchito René and Ismael were all amazing I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone ! The premium tour includes lifevest , umbrella , basically everything they are the. Best- Karla Almaguer
The tour delivers on what it promises in the sense that all the mentioned places are visited (Chichén Itzá, Valladolid, and the cenote), but the time management is quite poor and it gives the feeling that the sale of items (obsidian, Mayan calendars, traditional crafts, tequila, jewelry...) is prioritized over the experience at the sites. Chichén Itzá, which should be the highlight of the day, is limited to just two hours. With that amount of time, it is impossible to tour the site calmly and appreciate it as it deserves; you leave with the feeling of having left it half-finished. The stop in Valladolid is even shorter: a scarce 35 minutes or so in which they practically suggest you go to a tequila shop and a jewelry store. There is no time to walk around or see the colonial city with a minimum of tranquility. At the cenote, on the other hand, quite a bit of time is dedicated... but a large part of that time is spent standing in the traditional craft shop. I understand that the tour is budget-friendly and that you need to generate revenue from sales, but sacrificing time at a Wonder of the World like Chichén Itzá to extend commercial stops does not seem like a good decision to me. With a better distribution of time, the experience would improve a lot.
They did not show up and they were really hard to contact. Not good at all and i would not recommend
Gustavo and his team were excellent and the cenote was less crowded and gorgeous! Viator agents helped me correct my mistakes very quickly as well!
The Cenote and Chichenitza tour were amazing. The water in the Cenote was spectacular and an amazing experience.
definitely worth going lot of vendors selling the same stuff, a bit annoying Cenote definitely the highlight
