Discover Saigon's Best Foodie Locations on this VIP Immersive Tour Experience A Chef’s Tour is an experience held dear to our hearts. With backgrounds as cooks, we grew up looking up to the great Chefs of our times. You don’t have to be a chef or professional cook to book and enjoy this experience. You will need to be a real foodie though excited to try most anything as long as it’s delicious! This experience is bookable for a minimum of 2 people. This is a unique and memorable private tour experience catered for your tastes. We have an idea of the dishes and vendors we might like to try that night, but we decide to change the tour and route after meeting the customer and getting to know them. Depending on the types of dishes and the requests that have been made this tour will normally stop at 7-10 vendors during the tour. We have taken out foodies, professional chefs, and market researchers who were looking to gain as much knowledge as possible about the tastes and variety of Vietnamese food in the short amount of time they are here.

Best food tour experience ever

What an experience this was. It is an amazing way to see Saigon and the team was so friendly and outgoing. They brought us to 7 different restaurants as part of the Chef’s tour and places we wouldn’t have gone without their guidance. They brought us to all local establishments that weren’t overrun by other food tours. We ate with locals and go the full experience of what is was like to live in Ho Chi Mihn, including an amazing experience on the back of the scooters. It was the highlight of our trip to Vietnam and we felt extremely safe the whole time. 10/10 recommend.

Delicious Vietnamese Strret Food

So happy that I did the private chefs tour. I highly recommend for people who are new to vietnamese cuisine and its also tailored to your likes and dislikes. Our 2 guides Hoa and Hien were very entertaining. They have a great sense of humor, professional and very knowledgeable on every dish that your out to try. They are sweet always smiling and very happy on what they do makes you comfortable like part of a family and helps explain certain dishes if you feel intimidated. The photographer that took our pictures I hope it am remembering his name correctly Thuan. He sends you the pictures after the end of tour. He has great connections with all the chefs and knew exactly the types of food I requested. He is the kindest sweetest man you can see his enjoyment and the passion of good Vietnamese cuisine. Husband and I were so fulll after our 7th stop that we couldn't finished the other stop. Definitely you have to come very hungry and recommend to not eat at least 3 to 4 hours before the food tour. It is the best I just wished I was not so full would of at least tried to complete it all. All the food is so delicious it was very difficult to just have only favorite. Will definitely recommend to friends and family if they are every visiting Ho Chi Minh. We will defintely return and probably have to not eat the entire day because it was alot of deliciousness. So sad its over did not want to leave but so full that I couldn't breath.

Private Food Tour of Ho Chi Minh City

This is a MUST do when exploring Ho Chi Minh! We did a private night food tour and it was amazing. Nhung and Quyen were so friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. We went to at least 8 different food stops which were all authentic Vietnamese and tried something different at every place. The tour took us to different districts via scooter so we got to see so much of the city this way. We cannot fault any part of the tour!!!

Great fun way to see the City and experience the magical craziness of scooters and travel. There is appropriate attention to safety and the drivers were perfect for the occasion .

An anazing food tour in HCMC

We did the chefs tour for our honeymoon and had the best time. The girls that led our tour were super fun and we were able to customize what we wanted to eat. It was such a fun way to explore a huge city and everything we ate was delicious. Would 100% recommend

Awesome tour to do while in Ho Chi Minh

Back of the bike tours is a must do in Ho Chi Minh!! So much fun. We went as a family of four and both my 14 and 12 year olds absolutely loved it. A total highlight to our trip to Vietnam. The all girl drivers were experienced and incredibly friendly. They put us all at ease. You really get to soak in the atmosphere and see a lot of the city. The food was amazing! My kids tried food we would never get them to try otherwise. We were lucky to have Anh, Trinh, Tram, and Oanh take us on our journey. We loved hearing their knowledge of the city but also the general banter through out the tour. Definitely a tour not to be missed while you’re in Ho Chi Minh.

Excellent experience on back of bikes

We did Back of the Bike Tours with our lovely guides/ drivers. It was brilliant fun, felt chaotic with traffic but felt very safe and a not to be missed experience. We had torrential rain which in many ways added to the experience and rode with rain coats. Food was local and varied. Very tasty.

Can't miss this food tour with the friendliest tour guides!

One of the highlights of our month-long trip to Vietnam was the Back of the Bike tour! My sister and her husband had done it five years ago and loved it so much that they booked the same tour for us when we went back with our parents this year. My mum was very nervous at first because she had never ridden on a motorbike before, but each of the tour guides was matched up with us perfectly. The guide that my mum got was very kind and considerate and consented to having my mum wrap her arms around her. However, my mum quickly got very comfortable. After the first couple of rides, she was the only one out of the five of us who didn’t hang onto anything while riding the bike! She was just like a local. ;) We got the Chefs tour and each place we went to was thoughtfully selected and explained to us. There was plenty of food; each of the guides made sure that if we wanted anything more or different, we would get it. We got to try so many different drinks and food! And we were so truly well taken care of. For example, both my parents felt quite pampered when the guides were getting the crab meat out of the shells for all of us; normally, it’s my parents who do that for us kids so this was a real treat for them! (If you’re Asian, especially, you will understand. :D) Our trip was already a couple of months ago now, but whenever I talk to my mum on the phone, she always brings up how she wants to be back on the bike. 🙂 Thank you so much to Lan, Phuong Anh, Kim Anh, Ai & Uyen for being so absolutely lovely, kind, and considerate. We had so much fun with all of you; you made my parents so happy and I cannot thank you all enough for that! The pictures that were taken are such happy memories that we will treasure forever. (Many thanks to the two gentlemen who were part of the group, as well!)

Must Do If you like food!!

We had a free evening in HCMC and thought this would be a fun way to see the city and try a bunch of great food. We were right! Nhung, Tham and Tuan meet us at our hotel right on time, gave us an orientation and off we went! First, from a safety and comfort standpoint, any reservations we had about being on scooters were fine by the first stop. Nhung and Tham, our drivers and personal guides were expert drivers and we felt secure and comfortable the whole time. If you choose this tour, come hungry because there are a lot of stops and everything we tried was great. All the food was a highlight. That said, for us, the highlights of the highlights were: First stop of papaya salad with beef; second stop of wraps and rolls (this was a highlight especially because of the time Tham and Nhung spent explaining the different herbs that were offered for the wraps); third stop of pork skewers (so simple, but amazing!); fifth stop of seafood (sea snails, prawns, razor clams…) might have been our favorite for the combination of great food and a fun setting; final stop for dessert (che thai with durian and the soursop smoothie were terrific). After we admitted that we couldn’t eat any more, Tham and Nhung dropped us back at our hotel. None of this would have been as good without Tuan, who went ahead to each spot to ensure that we had tables, parking and orders placed for quick service when we arrived. Apart from the tour itself, it was great to be able to talk and share meals with our guides for an extended period of time instead of the typical tour where the guides are primarily there to lecture and answer questions. This was truly interactive. Back of the Bike Tours is a first class operation and was prompt and easy to work with before and after the tour.
