On our 90-minute Ghost and Dungeon tour with our fully licensed tour guides, spend approximately 20 minutes inside the pre-revolutionary Provost Dungeon. Located in the Old Exchange building on Broad and East Bay Streets, housed prisoner’s run by British forces during the American Revolutionary. Jailed for either treason or sedition, hundreds of prisoners were held there in the building, with some undoubtedly spending their final days there. For a place that holds over two centuries of mystery, it’s an honor for us to be able to show you the cavernous inside. Hear storytelling unlike any others in town. The rest of our interesting tour will take you through back alleyways and down cobblestone streets, you’ll learn the haunted truth about one of the oldest cities in America. You’ll hear fun and chilling stories of Charleston ghosts, haunted houses, voodoo, and low-country superstitions. Every city has it’s eerie, dark and edgy past so see the past come to life with our intriguing history.
One of Charleston's oldest neighborhoods, the French Quarter is home to some of our most historical homes, churches, graveyards, and alleyways.
Philadelphia Alley, also known as Duelers Alley, is one of the most intriguing locations in all of Charleston. While charming in the daytime, at night, this hidden charm has a completely different personality. The hidden walkway attracts curious visitors strolling the streets of downtown, but in earlier years, it bustled with livestock, scholars, congregants, and thieves.

Great tour guide (Jim Y.)! Easy walking! Lots of fun stories! This is a good event to do with family or friends.
Thank you, Jennifer!
We had a wonderful time. While I love paranormal, I also love history. My husband had never been on a ghost tour and as a non-believer was not very interested. However they blended history a spooky tails well. The dungeon even managed to make him jump! He loved it and so did I!
Thank you for the review!
Mo was a fantastic guide and very knowledgeable about the history! We would definitely do another tour with her!
We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Wonderful and frightening! Loved the stories and knowledge shared. It was a suspenseful journey through an eerie era of time!
Thank you for the 5-star review!
My 10-year-old son & I had a fantastic tour. We went on the 2 hour VIP walking tour to the dungeon & graveyard. It was the perfect amount of spooky & history. Harper was a beyond excellent tour guide. She was knowledgeable about a wide variety of Charleston history & delivered the tales/stories in a fun & memorable way. Bulldog Tours has access to areas that other tour groups did not have access to, which made the tour even more special. Would definitely recommend this tours to others & use Bulldog Tours again when we return to Charleston.
Thanks for the great review! We look forward to welcoming y'all back!
Kennedy was awesome. We went to the dungeon and walked around Charleston. Learned about local legends and the first female serial killer

Such a good time! Our tour guide did an amazing job. Would recommend this for sure!
We appreciate your recommendation!
I’m a very spiritually aware being. Let’s start there. The stories by the guide were intriguing. Jessica was great at keeping us interested and entertained. A great combination of historical facts and spooky stories to accompany the stops we made. Jessica encouraged us to take photos and I was snapping away. Inside the dungeon I felt presence only 2 times and immediately took photos. The rest of the photos showed nothing but I’m sure I snapped a photo on those two ghosts. One looks like a sad patriot, in a corner, head down… just a black shadow. The other one looks like a ghost scared of us strangers in there. This was so special. Knowing that where I felt something I found something was confirming that this company is legit, not there just for the buck! Thanks for the amazing memories.
Thanks for sharing your awesome experience on Jessica's tour! We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review.
Our tour guide covered a lot of history about the few sites we visited and why they would be haunted, but not enough detail about the actual haunting. We only visited 3 “haunted locations”, but did spend a fair amount of time in the dungeon.

Price was comparable to other tours. Tour guide, Grace, was animated, engaging, and knowledgeable. Until she wasn’t. Raining during the tour and she was considerate to check-in with guests on their comfort. After 1 hour she abruptly stopped the tour stating she was done, assumably due to weather. However, we encountered at least 3 other tours still in progress on our walk back to hotel. Disappointed.
