Itinerary
We’ll start our walk from Hill of Prophet Elias. There’s a great view over the city from one side and blue waves and White Mountains on the other.
The Holy Trinity (Agia Triada) Monastery is probably the most impressive monastic complex of the final period of Venetian rule on Crete, due to both its scale and architectural form. The monastery Agia Triada lies surrounded by large fields planted with olive groves, vineyards, and cypress trees in the northeast area of the Akrotiri peninsula.
We’ll walk to Old Market, which is considered one of the best in Europe. The saying “Greece has everything” turns out to be true here. Local produce, honey, tea and coffee, seafood and fish. Find something unique here to take home as a memory or as a gift.

Great tour guide and driver. We learned a lot. They were very accommodating of our older party as well as 20 month old. We really enjoyed it
Tatiana was very knowledgeable and provided great insights. The monastery was definitely worth spending time at and appreciating the history. Old town was beautiful
Our guide, Maria Kyvernitaki, was spectacular. Extremely knowledgeable, very informative, excellent communication skills, and overwhelmingly charming. She truly enhanced our one day trip to Chania. We highly recommend her. Her contact: antigoni.sofokli@gmail.com
Tati’s very nice person and explain all to us We went to palazzo take lunch and it was incredible every thing was perfect
Stella was amazing she brought Chania to life for us. We only had one day and we are so happy we chose this tour. We visited monasteries, the harbor, fun shops got a true flavor in just one day.
A really cozy city, with many small streets and stalls. If you stay away from the harbor, the prices also seem a lot more accatable. There are at least 3 free public toilets that are cleaned after each use 👍
Driver and tour guide were flexible and accommodating. Extremely knowledgeable about historical and cultural facts. Michalis was a great driver. He was hospitable and knowledgeable. Maria used a microphone which made sure people in the back could hear. Highly recommend!!!! We had 10 people in our group and they took an interest in us and what we wanted to get out of the tour. Perfect day in Chania!!
This was our first time booking thru Viator, and it was a very good experience. Our guide was so knowledgeable, but also very personable and friendly. We loved our tour of the monastery and the Old Port of Chania. So glad we made this booking!
Our guide Maria and driver Michelas were great. Maria was knowledgeable and courteous. We visited the awesome Monastery at the top of the hill and at the end of the tour, we mentioned that we may want to have lunch at the old town, our nice driver Michelas offered to come pick us up after we were done although he was not obligated to drive us back to the port. He left his number and told us to call him whenever we were done with lunch and strolling around the old town. He was great!!!
Amazing guide, clean and air conditioned vehicle, highly recommended tour that covers the major highlights.
