Central Park | Tour the Greatest Park in the World

At Columbus Circle, travelers will take in one of New York City's most iconic intersections — where the hustle of Manhattan meets the calm of Central Park. To start the tour we will be in Columbus Circle for about 10 minutes to admire the monument to Christopher Columbus, framed by the Time Warner Center. We will also discuss why Central Park exists and an understanding the city's layout.

On our walk, we’ll stop by the Central Park Carousel — a charming, old-fashioned ride that’s been delighting visitors since 1871. Tucked away beneath a canopy of trees, it’s one of the park’s hidden gems. You’ll hear the fascinating history behind it and can snap some nostalgic photos.

Literary Walk, part of The Mall in Central Park, is a beautiful, tree-lined promenade flanked by towering American elms. At its southern end, visitors find statues of famous writers like Shakespeare, Robert Burns, and Sir Walter Scott—earning it the name “Literary Walk.” This elegant path is perfect for a peaceful stroll, people-watching, or enjoying street performers and artists.
