Cayo Arena, Paradise Island Tour

I had originally booked the VIP excursion, which was more expensive, but honestly I think it was worth it....but I was the only one signed up > cancellation. I fell back on the Regular excursion > 50 people on a bus and the inertia of such a group when you stop somewhere! What a waste of time. Not to mention that picking up and dropping off so many people represents an incredible amount of extra time on an already long travel time. Everything I hate, but having been warned of the cancellation less than 24 hours before the excursion, it was difficult for me to turn around and find an equivalent one through another agency. However, there must be some, because some other groups were having lunch on the beach! On the cayo itself, everyone is in the same boat, and even if it is small and there are a lot of people, it is beautiful and the snorkeling is really interesting. On the other hand, for those who do not snorkel and hope to sunbathe, it is forbidden to spread out your towel, and you are there during the hottest hours, between 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Where things go wrong is at lunch! You leave a magical and beautiful place for certainly the least charming restaurant in the area! See the photos for yourself! Plastic plate and glass, warm drinks,....no interest....instead of having lunch on the beach of Punta Rucia!

We bought from the golden beach vendors. They picked us up on time. The transfer by minibus took 2.5 hours one way, 15 to 20 minutes by boat, and the cay is a paradise. An excellent snorkeling experience with fish of all colors, a small stop with fruits and drinks. Then a boat ride through the mangroves at high speed, showcasing the captain's skill, followed by lunch and another two and a half hours back to the hotel. Is it worth it? Yes. But the journey is exhausting

It would be a shame not to have taken the trip to this sand bank. Then there was the speedboat ride through the mangrove forest... Simply amazing!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience on this tour. To start, we were picked up at 8 AM and returned to our resort by 5 PM, which felt like the perfect duration—not too long or exhausting. The lunch buffet was simple, but we genuinely enjoyed it. Cayo Arena… no words—an absolute must-visit. Snorkeling there is something you definitely shouldn’t skip. The speedboat ride was also a lot of fun and added to the whole experience. There were a few quick souvenir stops along the way, which is pretty standard for most tours. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely recommend it.

It is just right for the price you pay, recommended and the excursion is very worthwhile. It's worth putting the roof on the boat.

Extremely responsive in updating us with a pick up Time from our hotel. Bus was pleasant with AC and not overcrowded. We traveled in a Monday not sure if this had something to do with that. Crew was fun and accommodating. Lunch had great options for all types of palettes. We had our own personal attentive videographer and photographer Matis during the trip and he even dropped off our finished edited memory chip at our hotel the next day! Overall memorable experience and would highly recommend with our tour guide Izzy!
