I've done around 50 shore excursions over the last 25 years, and this one easily lands in my top three of all time. To make things interesting, the weather wasn't cooperating, and the ship's tenders got us to shore about 50 minutes late. I was worried we'd miss the tour, but they waited for us... and it turns out there were six other delayed passengers too. That level of customer service set the tone right away. Finding them at the port was incredibly easy. They were standing right in the middle with a big sign, practically impossible to miss. If you've ever done independent excursions before, you know that isn't always the case. Sometimes you're playing a real-life game of "Where's Waldo?" while checking text messages and hoping you're in the right spot. Not here. I'll admit, I was a little nervous about spending 90 minutes floating through a cave on an inner tube. The thought of being underground for that long sounded a bit intimidating. Thanks to our guide, that nervousness lasted maybe three minutes. The remaining 87 minutes were nothing but fun. The cave itself was incredible, and the small-group atmosphere made it feel like a private tour with lots of one-on-one interaction. After the tubing adventure, they provided a nice lunch at no extra cost, which was a great touch. One thing to know: if you're visiting this port and want to do something truly memorable, expect about an hour drive in a van. The ride was perfectly fine, although the van may have been auditioning for a role as a bouncing castle and could probably use some new shocks. Most importantly, every concern I had about booking with an independent operator instead of a cruise-line excursion was completely debunked. The organization, communication, service, and experience were all outstanding. I would absolutely book with this company again and would be thrilled to get Abner (sp?) as our driver and guide. He did a fantastic job and was a huge part of what made this excursion so memorable. Bottom line: If you're on the fence about this excursion, stop thinking and book it. It was one of the best shore excursions I've ever done. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was an amazing experience. We learned so much about Belize and the caves were an amazing experience. The ride to the excursion is about an hour so be prepared but other than that, it’s worth every dime.
Thanks for the Review, we are happy to tour Cruise Ship guest, and we are exalted to hear that you enjoyed your cave tour with us, thanks for choosing us.
My husband and I enjoyed this adventurous tour. Our tour guide, Fab, was funny, knowledgeable and made the tour fun.
Ya-hooo, we are glad to hear that you enjoyed this Fabolous tour with us. thanks for choosing us.
We had an awesome experience on our cave tubing excursion. We came on a cruise ship and the guides met us promptly at the meeting point. They were very well organized.! Our guides Naz , Cardinal, Fab were incredible. They provided us a lot of information about the culture and life in Belize on the ride to and from the caves. On the short 15 minute easy walk to the caves they showed us a lot of the local flora and fauna! It was very cool! They were super knowledgeable and worked hard to make our tubing experience awesome. The caves were nothing short of magnificent. Highly recommend these guides and this tour!
This company met us right outside the port. We took a comfortable minibus with A/C and drove 60 minutes to the location. We received our life jackets and hard hats and walked for about 30 minutes through the forest, which was beautiful, to the cave. Wear sandals or Crocs, not flip-flops. You have to traverse a shallow river to get to the cave. The water is somewhat fast but there is a rope across the river you hold onto. The tubes at the cave were very comfortable. They had mesh bottoms and headrests. They were tethered together so you didn’t have to do any steering – the guide did everything. The cave was beautiful and it was very relaxing. At the end we got out and swam in the river which was refreshing. We had a great time. They had bathrooms, showers, and changing rooms at the location for those who wanted to change out of their wet clothes. Then it was an hour drive back to the port. Overall, we enjoyed the tour and loved the caves, although they were a bit far away from the port.
It was amazing! The tour guides, Kadeem, Abner and Nas, were amazing. Kadeem was a wealth of information and Nas provided great instructions on next steps. The tour itself was just beautiful.
This was the best excursion we've ever done. Highly recommend. Our guide Naz was so much fun! Would do it again
Excellent experience! Our guide was very knowledgeable and knew a lot about the area. Did a wonderful job guiding us through the cave. Would highly recommend!
We enjoyed our cave tubing excursion with Naz who served as our driver and guide through the caves. He was so friendly and personable, sharing his knowledge of the island and culture during the lengthy drive to the caves, making it pleasurable. When at the sites, he showed us interesting plant and animal life and shared local lore. The trip through the caves was beautiful and relaxing (Naz did all the work while we lounged and enjoyed the ride). We were the only 2 in our group, unlike some of the other tours with large groups, and we had a great adventure that felt personalized. Would highly recommend!
This was our favourite excursion on our cruise last week. Pick up at the cruise port was easy. We had a bit of a wait once we got there but it wasn't too long. Our tour guide, Fab, was very friendly and had lots of information about the area on the drive there and throughout the tubing. He genuinely seems to love what he is doing. Once we got there, we could rent crocs for our feet for a couple of bucks. There were clean bathrooms and change rooms. It was incredible to go into the caves and do some swimming and exploring. We were part of a small group and even though there was other groups there, it didn't feel overcrowded. My kids loved that we were able to get out of the tubes and explore the caves and do some swimming and jumping into the water. It was a pretty amazing day! Thank you!
