The driver was ungracious, wanted to get rid of us quickly...and there was no dinner. I understand it was a religious holiday, but I asked him if he managed to arrange for dinner and he said yes....It was not the case
If you’re traveling by cruises ship you need to use the shuttle in and out of the port. Therefore you need to request your meeting point at the United Nations Plaza. It’s not Casablanca after dark if you start your tour before dark as we did. Adic was waiting for us at the Plaza. He is knowledgeable about the area and we toured / walked in the sites of Casablanca. Dinner was at Dar el Kaid a true Moroccan restaurant. Dinner was chicken tangine. The waiter provided a show with the pouring of the tea. Also entertainment with a belly dancer.
Adil was really friendly and really knew his way around the city. Casablanca is gorgeous at night and the restaurant for dinner was great with an ensemble playing traditional music. I injured my ankle very badly falling down some stairs and Adil was so concerned and helpful, taking us to the pharmacy and translating for us and made a special stop to buy me an ice pack and helped me all the way into the hotel. Grateful for his assistance and his knowledge about the city.
