: Built on the sea, translation of the Coran verse that proclaims God’s throne was built upon water. The mosque is a truly marvelous piece of architecture. Huge monument, it can accomodate 25.000 worshipers inside and 80.000 more outside. The founder, King Hassan II, desired for the city to be endowed with a large, fine building of which it can be proud until the end of time. The mosque’s most exquisite examples of Moroccan craftsmanship are the blankets of zellij, some designs more than 10m high. The mosque is one of the world’s largest.
the spirit of the movie Casablanca is alive and well in downtown. Madam Rick, an American woman who had lived in Morocco, had restored a multilevel former medina residence to resemble the era depicted in the movie, dominated by a central courtyard with its authentic 1930’s Pleyel piano.
Casablanca’s seaside suburb runs along the Atlantic coastline, with a long beach side promenade called the corniche. There you can see Casablanca in all its contrasting beauty
the city’s origins trace back to the medieval town of Anfa. the French protectorate administration chose the seaside to build magnificent villas serving as residence for their army high officers and walthy merchants. Many of these villas are still splendid and serve nowdays as principal residences for wealthy Moroccans. Anfa Hotel , where a secret and historic conference took place in 1943, a crucial moment of the 2nd world war, when the 2 men fixed the date and the modalities of the Normandy landing in June 1944.
or United Nations square in some planes : administrative center of Casablanca with very beautiful buildings designed in the 1920’s by a french architect. The square is bordered by the Wilaya ( main government office ) flanked by a tower with clock; the courthouse; a beautiful musical and luminous fountain (at night) around which hundreds of pigeons come to eat the grains offered by the visitors and drink the fountain water.
Catholic Parish church built in 1954, especially frequented by the faithful of Africans from Sub-Sahara. It is decorated with very beautiful stained glass windows made by the famous Artist Gabriel Loire
New medina of Casablanca with souks ( markets ) built by the French on the beginning of the century ( nowdays specialized in tradional Moroccan costumes ) with the appearence of a traditional medina : narrow alleys, small squares lined with trees, stone arches. There we can see the Royal palace which is certainly the most beautiful monument in the city with an Arab-Muslim style, while being very modern

Great Trip to Casablanca. Great tips from the guide. The guide recommended a fish restaurant, very nice. So much fish, could not finish.
Merci beaucoup Dorothée pour votre commentaire, votre gentillesse et générosité. Veuillez transmettre mes vœux de bonheur à votre mari également
Highly recommend this tour if interested in experiencing Casablanca. Moor, a native of Casablanca, is a most excellent tour guide. Condensed a lot into this day trip and was pleasant to spend the day.

It was very informative, we thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Highly recommend it for anyone wishing a small group or private tours.
Thank you very much. I wish you always the best
Great Casablanca experience. Noor made sure the tour pacing was alright and not in a hurry. Noor provided many insights about the city from history to stories. A day trip to Casablanca from Marrakech is recommended if you like history and architecture. Thank you Noor!
Thank you so much Miss Cheryll for your generous review. I wish you the best
Unlike what we experienced in other excursions from Marrakech, Casablanca Tour was truly a sublime revelation. Noor - a native of Casablanca- made us feeling like we were distinguished guests and allowed us discover the most beautiful facets of the city. In addition to the wonderful mosque, the church, the medina, the cornice, Beverley Hills of Casablanca and the main square were unforgettable visits. Endowed with great knowledge about the history of his country, Noor was an excellent speaker and fantastic storyteller, especially about the Jews of Morocco. In summary, Noor presented us with Casablanca as a bride dressed in her most beautiful dress. We finally appreciated his honesty (no visits to shops ) and the luxurious comfort of the minivan
Thanks for your honest support. Don't forget my invitation to Fuengirola. I wish you the best . God bless you and your family
While the people were very kind and attentive, the car accommodations were not “luxury.” The van had a terrible smell and neither the heat (it was a very cold morning) not the air conditioning (for the hot ride back) worked. In addition, when we booked the trip we expected “Noor” to be our guide, but he did not show up. We were told he was tired. Overall, the mosque was lovely and impressive to visit.
Really sorry for the inconvenience. Noor suffered the onset of the flu the night before the experiment and could not risque possible contagion. Many thanks for your patience
Our family group of 5 persons really enjoyed our day trip to Casablanca from Marrakech. Our driver and guide, Ibrahim, was very kind and always ready to attend to anything we needed or to answer our questions. The drive between the two cities was all highway and very smooth. The rest stops along the highway were modern and clean. In Casablanca we visited the Hassan II Mosque, with a guide from the mosque itself (in English, in a group with other tourists); it was very informative and took about 40 minutes. Afterwards, Ibrahim brought us to a good restaurant for lunch, and then took us to see more of Casablanca. We were back in our hotel around 6 PM, very satisfied with our experience.
Thank you so much for your distinguished testimony and especially for the respect of your promise , without forgetting the kindness and generosity of your sweet family
