The goal of this experience is to make you explore and eat like a true local. Our tour takes you through the historic and vibrant "MEDINA" district, located in the heart of Casablanca, known for its traditional architecture, narrow alleyways, and charming atmosphere. You'll visit local markets and observe fresh produce vendors, artisans, and real community life in action, with breathtaking views and excellent photo opportunities. In addition to the various tastings your group will enjoy, your guide will discuss the history, culture, traditions, and general lifestyle. Casablanca Food Tour is also designed to accommodate your dietary restrictions (Vegetarians, Gluten-Free, lactose free, etc.). This historical place has such an interesting history and architecture we'll have quick walk around to take pictures and talk about the history background of the landmark.
we're having here a fresh squeezed juice in on of the juice bars here and take in all the French Artdeco Architecture. Morocco is known by it's fresh and tasty fruits, so why not starting the tour with a healthy smoothie.
Here we're Having a seafood and fish feast, we'll be trying some fresh oysters, sea urchins, clams ... and buying some fresh fish, we'll take the fish and sea food to a local Restaurant inside the market and they will prepare the fish as well as the side dishes of choice to go with. Of course the central market is one of the attractions in Casablanca and has also such an interesting French architecture as well as the history of this famous landmark, you will take in all that from our tour guide.
We'll be walking from the Central market to reach Sqala between the streets and the alleyways of the Medina.
That's the end point of the tour and here we're having our coffee / tea and our gourmet refined dessert. this restaurant is a historical building turned to a cultural fine dining restaurant it's the perfect ending after the feast in the market

This was such a fun way to experience a slice of Casablanca. We made 5 stops, places that we normally would have walked past and found them all excellent. The people are genuinely welcoming and our guide, Ashrum, was friendly and informative.

The tour with Achraf was great! We were an international group of five people: one Canadian, two American women and two Germans. We hit it off right away. Achraf has responded very individually to our wishes and has answered many additional historical and cultural questions.

The tour is a great introduction to Casablanca and Achraf was a delightful and knowledgeable guide. In addition to talking about Moroccan food, he also discussed the country’s history and culture and Casablanca’s architecture. For a bonus, he took us to an herb shop. Btw, Achraf’s mother teaches cooking classes!

We paid $250 (total for the pair of us) for a walking tour of both the New and Old Medina in Casablanca. We started out with a fresh fruit smoothie that was packed with fresh ripe fruit . Then we walked to a pastry shop where we made a selection of beautiful local pastries. After that we were escorted to the amazing fish market where our guide consulted with us and then bargained with the fishmonger for a selection of seafood which we carried around the corner to a local restaurant which cooked the fish and presented it for lunch. It was accompanied by baba ghanous and shaksuka, local bread and amazing marinated olives. We had an opportunity to share a couple of sardines with a charming local street cat, who performed a little dance to encourage our generosity. After that we had traditional tea at a street side table where we enjoyed the pastries purchased earlier. If you book this tour, I would advise a very light breakfast because the food was delicious and the portions generous. Our guide was extremely pleasant, very fluent in English, and gave us great historical information during our walk around town. All of the food was included in the price of the tour, and we got to give input into all the different selections of food on offer. This was a lot of fun and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to be a bit adventurous in eating local food and who is a good walker. The pavement can be a little rough and challenging but we had no issues as long as we maintained some awareness of the road conditions.

We had a great time with Achraf. He was very knowledgeable about Casablanca and all of the places we stopped. Also took great photos! The food stops were great, including the famous Pâtisserie Bennis. The seafood was fresh, handed picked from the market and cooked minutes later at the restaurant. Definitely enjoyed this tour and would recommend.
