I was on the fence for this tour with all the gaudi stuff here but this was fantastic. The tablet and audio really enhance the tour and the end room is fun. Although if you get dizzy easily I would avoid it.
This was a very interesting experience I would recommend this excursion. The book store had some amazing items for purchase
A must see if you are in Barcelona. The tour guide add so much more information as to why Gaudi built the park the way he did.
Casa Batllo is a uniquely beautiful home and example of Gaudi's style and architecture. It's certainly worth seeing, but touring the house is quite chaotic. The place is extremely crowded with tourists and it's a self-guided tour done with headphones and a tablet to explain where you are and what you are looking at. I had trouble getting the headphones to fit properly on my head and the tablet often didn't sync up with what I was actually looking at. Plus, because the place is so crowded, many of the visitors are talking amongst themselves and noise echoes all around you, making hearing the information on the headphones more difficult. You will do a lot of walking and stair-climbing throughout the tour. We did pay extra to see the special exhibition, living quarter, and the light show experience, which were less popular and gave us a small break from the masses. The light show experience can make you dizzy or nauseated if you're susceptible to vertigo or similar. Overall, I think it's a good house to see in order to gain perspective and insight to Gaudi, but Casa Vicens (which we visited on another day) and Casa Mila (next door to Batllo) are less crowded and more visitor-friendly, in my opinion.
A place that truly leaves you speechless. We had the premium gold ticket with virtual reality and it was a perfect choice. You cannot miss visiting it.
Casa Batlló is an extraordinary example of Antoni Gaudí’s ability to combine architecture, structure, art and nature into one unforgettable experience. From the remarkable façade to the flowing interior spaces, beautiful central light well and iconic rooftop, every detail feels carefully designed yet wonderfully organic. What impressed me most was the way Gaudí transformed functional architectural and structural elements into part of the artistic language of the building. Natural light, ventilation, geometry, materials and craftsmanship all work together beautifully. It is a building that deserves to be experienced from the inside, not simply photographed from Passeig de Gràcia. After the visit, the cozy cafeteria next to Casa Batlló was the perfect place to sit, relax and enjoy the atmosphere of this beautiful part of Barcelona. Comfortable, welcoming and ideally located for a coffee and a short break after exploring the house. A must-see in Barcelona, particularly for anyone with an interest in architecture, engineering, design or Gaudí’s incredible imagination.
Visiting Casa Batlló was a unique and indescribable experience. Using the audio guide constantly showed how precise and well-thought-out every single detail of the house is. The audio recording is precise and perfectly tailored to the location. I have not been able to listen to such an audio recording in this form in any other museum or similar, except at Casa Vicens. The staff members are competent and friendly!
Horrible experience and ruined with greed. Like a train station at peak hour. Long queue in the hot sun. After sweating in queue and almost ready to go in they offer you an umbrella. Actually no - we requested one - and got shade for five minutes. The place is fantastic but ruined with the crowds. There is no control. Bring as many in as may fit. The audio system is dysfunctional - no ear piece. The price is close to double what you would pay at the Louvre in Paris. Not recommended. We were so sick of it after an hour we did not bother to watch the last video. And the doorman was surprised. !!
Incredible Gaudi art, history and architecture. Good if you want a taste but highly recommend the full experience with his other two sites.
Well worth the visit. One thing I would add is that they should provide shade in the outside queuing area, especially during the summer months.
