Itinerary
Uçhisar Castle, the highest rock formation in the region. The guide will explain just how this amazing landscape came into existence.
At Zelve Open Air museum the guide will explain the importance of Christianity and monastic life in Cappadocia before leaving you free to explore the 10th and 11th century cave churches and monasteries with beautifully painted frescoes depicting famous biblical scenes
See the old Greek houses in Çavuşin village, abandoned during the Greek/Turkish population exchange in 1924.
Enjoy a buffet-style lunch in Avanos, offering a wide range of Turkish food including mezes, salads, meat and vegetarian dishes and desserts. Still in Avanos, visit an authentic family-run pottery workshop located in an underground cave. Clay from the Kızılırmak (Red) River was first used in pottery production by the Hitites prior to 1700BC and continues as an art form today. Watch a master demonstrate how to make a pot, and watch the the painters and glazers apply their delicate patterns. Have a go at the potter’s wheel yourself and make your own unique pot if you wish.
In Paşabağı (also known as Monks Valley because of the Chapel of Saint Simeon found there) wander through the unusual clusters of multi-headed mushroom-shaped “fairy chimneys” (rock formations).
Devrent Valley (“Imagination Valley”) - a stunning valley where you can spot natural rock formations in many recognisable shapes, including the famous camel-shaped rock. Use your imagination and see what other shapes you can find.

I had Bayram as my guide for the Red Tour. He explained the caves within the context of Cappadocia's history, which really deepened my interest in the region. Also, although I am not fluent in English, Bayram’s English was very easy to understand, so I would recommend him even to those who don't speak the language well.
Fantastic tour! Bayram is the best!
I can't say enough about this tour, the tour guide, and the driver. Cappadocia is an amazing place and this tour covered so many interesting stops. Most red tours tend to go to Goreme Open Air Museum, but this one goes to Zelve instead. Zelve is much more interesting and in my opinion, the number one MUST DO while in Cappadocia. Our tour guide, Bayram, was perfect! He was very kind, very knowledgeable, and has a great sense of humor. One of the best tour guides we've ever had. I have to give a shout out to the driver. I was offered the passenger seat in the front of the van, which I normally wouldn't take because I'm not comfortable with other people driving...so, I'm not a good passenger. :) However, I felt completely safe the entire time. I wish I could book him as my personal driver for the remainder of my time in Turkiye. :)
We were completely thrilled with the tour and had absolutely nothing to complain about. It is excellent for getting a good overview of the most important sights in Cappadocia. Everything was very well organized and the various stops were interesting and worth seeing. We would especially like to highlight our tour guide Elif. She made the tour very exciting and varied and provided us with a lot of interesting information. At the same time, she was incredibly sweet, likable, and attentive. Because of her, the tour became a very special experience for us. We can absolutely recommend the tour!
we absolutely LOVED this tour. the guide, Ellie, was so knowledgeable and loved answering questions. she gave us a good amount of time in each location to explore on our own. we highly recommend this experience. there was an option for a longer tour that included the underground city that we didn’t see before booking ours, we would recommend that anyone goes to see that!
I booked the small-group red tour. Bayran (Festival group) was super! He explained everything clearly, and he was helpful and patient. The buffet lunch was varied and of good quality. I highly recommend this tour!
My wife and I recently visited Cappadocia and booked a full 2-day tour package, with the Red Tour being one of the included activities. Without a doubt, it turned out to be one of the highlights of our entire trip. The tour lasted about six hours and was exceptionally well organised from start to finish. We were picked up from our hotel in the morning and dropped back afterwards, making the entire experience smooth and hassle-free. Our group had about 16 people, which was just the right size, it never felt overcrowded and allowed everyone enough time to enjoy each stop. What truly made this tour unforgettable was our guide, Bayram. He is hands down one of the best tour guides I have ever met. Funny, jovial, knowledgeable, patient, considerate, and incredibly passionate about what he does. His English was excellent, and he explained the history, culture, and significance of every location in a way that was both engaging and easy to understand. He never rushed anyone, was always willing to answer questions, and made everyone feel welcome. If I could rate him 100 on a 10-point scale, I absolutely would! The scenery throughout the tour was breathtaking. The peaceful atmosphere, stunning natural landscapes, fascinating rock formations, and the Open Air Museum made for an unforgettable experience. Every stop had something unique to offer, and there was plenty of time to appreciate the beauty, take photographs, and simply soak in the surroundings. Lunch was included in our package and was a nice addition to an already fantastic day. Our driver was also professional, courteous, and ensured we travelled safely and comfortably throughout the tour. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Cappadocia, especially if you love nature, history, and breathtaking landscapes. And if you're lucky enough to have Bayram as your guide, consider yourself fortunate, you'll not only learn a great deal but also have an amazing time doing it. Thank you, Bayram, for making our visit to Cappadocia so special. We will always remember this experience!
Elif was very informative, funny and with perfect english. Great tour included nice lunch. They provided cold water after every stop that was a nice touch. Sales stop at the ceramic shop was informative and not pushy. Overall we enjoyed the Red Tour.
Great experience! Time was actually well used, I recommend it
