Red Tour takes you to Göreme or Zelve open air museum, the most famous tourist attraction in Cappadocia, Paşabağ, Devrent and Honey (Love) valleys where you can admire the amazing rock formations made by nature itself.
Cappadocia region was formed 7-12 million years ago by erosion of soft layers of lava and ash from Mount Erciyes (Argeus), Mount Hasan and Mount Güllü composing with wind and rain over millions of years.
Human settlement at the Cappadocia region dates back to the Paleolithic era. The lands where the Hittites once lived have been one of the most important centers of Christianity in the later periods. Houses and churches carved into the caves and rocks turned the region into a huge heaven for Christians escaping from the dominance of the Roman Empire.

Pasabag Vadisi
Admission included45 min
Paşabağ (Monks Valley) is one of Cappadocia’s most iconic destinations, famous for its striking fairy chimneys and unique rock formations. These towering cone-shaped structures were naturally shaped over millions of years by volcanic activity and erosion.
During your visit, you will explore the valley’s remarkable landscape, walk among the famous triple-headed fairy chimneys, and see the ancient monks’ dwellings carved into the rocks. Paşabağ offers exceptional photo opportunities and a chance to experience Cappadocia’s surreal natural beauty up close. This stop is a highlight of the Red Tour, providing both cultural insight and breathtaking scenery in one of the region’s most picturesque locations.
Zelve Open Air Museum
Admission included60 min
Zelve Valley is one of the most popular open air museum areas of Cappadocia, situated between Avanos and Goreme, nearby Pasabag Monks Valley. Being part of UNESCO World Heritage Site, Zelve Valley Open Air Museum is also one most popular places to see in Cappadocia that travelers may experience sharp pointed and wide fairy chimneys.
Cavusin

Devrent Valley, which is also known as Imaginary Valley and also as Pink Valley does not have cave churches like the other valleys of Cappadocia. There are no Roman castles or Roman tombs in Devrent Valley, either. Actually it was never inhabited. So what makes it so famous? The lunar landscape!

Do this tour if you want to see all of Cappadocia.
We had a great day seeing everything Cappadocia has to offer. Made it easy to enter the museums including the underground city, river walk, pigeon valley, and open air museum. Never was the most enthusiastic tour guide and made the day very interesting. Lunch and snacks were included.

We booked the tour through our hotel. The red tour is very beautiful and interesting both from a cultural and a landscape point of view. The tour was made very pleasant thanks to Mustafa, our guide, young, helpful and super patient who helped us a lot with our language difficulties. It was really like being with a dear friend!

They really know what they are doing
We joined the Red Tour with I’M CAPPADOCIA and it was an amazing experience from start to finish.
The tour was very well organized, the vehicle was comfortable, and the food was delicious.
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and attentive. Thanks to the detailed explanations, we were able to truly understand the history and past of Cappadocia. I genuinely believe that joining guided tours here is essential to fully appreciate the region.
Paşabağ (Monks Valley) was my favorite stop, absolutely unique and unforgettable.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cappadocia!

Cappadocia tour with museums an underground city and great scenery
Our tour with Ezgi included exploring an underground city, Goreme Open Air Museum, various scenic views, lunch and a walk across a fun suspension bridge over the re river. Ezgi was extremely knowledgeable and very accommodating. If we asked a question that she didn’t know she would look up the answer for us and we’d quickly find out. Our driver was also great. We’d highly recommend this tour

Very good tour -- bring your own snacks and water
Very good tour, guide was super informative. The locations were awesome and we really enjoyed visiting each one. This tour does not go to Goreme open air museum, so we ended up doing that the next day on our own...but that worked out well because we got more time there.
Lunch was amazing, our own private room at a very nice restaurant. Our only complaint is that it seemed like a low priority as we didn't eat until ~3pm. We were on a red tour but had some folks on the bus doing a mix...so it seemed to throw off the schedule. Tours should be dedicated red or green if doing a mix will delay lunch like that.

Mert (tour guide) Red tour in cappadocia
My family and I had a private tour with tour guide Mert. (Please forgive incorrect spellings)
The tour was amazing. Mert initially took us to a viewpoint of the whole of cappadocia where we saw uchisar castle.
Mert explained the historical and chemical formations of the area alongside importance of pigeons possible civilisation.
We then progressed to open air museums (pasa ba), every time Mert went into the etymology helping us understand.
I was able to climb up to a second story this was not done by others without a tour guide. Every area was explained in detail. With cultural, historical, social elements explained.
We then progressed to the 3rd location a pottery studio set in caves. It was air conditioned and all hand made with 5 different masters for a single pottery piece, every item was 1 of 1. I even got the opportunity to do some pottery very exciting.
We then ate lunch. Mert made sure to plan the schedule around how we felt throughout the day.
We then progressed to the monks valley where we also received religious facts throughout. At any areas that were slightly dangerous Mert would always help us walk past safely always putting the safety of us first taking us to shaded areas and allowing us to rest when the sun was too bright whilst still explaining the significance of the are we stopped at.
We then were able to go to middle castle ( I forgot how to pronounce it) for a skyline view of the Grecian village it was very beautiful. Throughout all stops Mert took photos for us. Especially through this viewpoint as there were designated photo areas.
Mert then very kindly extend the tour for 2 extra locations a jewellery store specialising in Turkish stones and a traditional Turkish market.
It is very clear that Mert is very passionate about being a tour guide and the facts he was giving was not only informative but very interesting, from religion, culture, social, historical to chemical he had all the knowledge.
He was a fabulous tour guide providing us with energy literally ( gave us snacks) and figuratively.
He really made the cappadocia experience. Honeslty very much recommend.
