Super fun and exciting challenge! The guides were great! We didn’t have any idea what we were in for, though, by the description. It starts out in a 20 minute hike in your very hot and tight wetsuit. Besides rappelling down the canyon, which is wonderful, you also have to do quite a lot of scrambling over boulders and hiking. Just be prepared. The adventure only lasts about 2 1/2 hours, although the TripAdvisor ad says 5 hours.

This was definitely the highlight of our trip! We had an absolute blast. Physically challenging, but worth the effort. Our guides Lobo and Jaoa were terrific, always felt completely safe and they were very patient with everyone. All the gear you need is included. They transported our personal bags to the end of the canyon, so no need for waterproof containers. Bring a go pro if you have one. Highly recommend if you want a little adventure!

Our canyoning experience was amazing! This was our first time and our guide, Filipe, made sure we were safe and comfortable through each obstacle. He was very knowledgeable and funny which made the trip so enjoyable. I would highly recommend this trip for anyone seeking adventure and beautiful scenery!

Great experience for someone with no experience. I want to do intermediate now! The guides were fun but always kept our safety in mind. One of my favorite things experiences in Maderia! Don’t miss it!
The experience was very exciting overall. We had a lot of fun, the guides were nice. They took many pictures of us and gave us a little snack, it was really pleasant overall. What I didn't particularly like was that it felt a bit rushed, I would've liked a slower pace, maybe because it was my first time and I was a little cautious, but also because I would've like to have more time to admire the surroundings. I also didn't know that there were spots were the water was quite deep, and even if you could avoid them or get help help to cross them, I would've like to be aware of that before booking, as someone who doesn't know how to swim very well. But overall we loved it, it was fun and challenging, but the difficulty level was fine, even for a first experience of that kind.
