At 5:45 AM, we pick you up at your hotel in Can Tho by car and take you to the boat station, where you’ll board a traditional wooden sampan — the beginning of your Mekong journey. ⸻ Visit Local Market Before heading to the river, you’ll stop by a small morning market where locals buy fresh produce, flowers, and breakfast food. It’s an authentic glimpse of daily Mekong life before the city wakes up.
Sunrise on the Mekong River Around 6:00 AM, the river is quiet and the sky begins to glow. As the sun rises over the water, you’ll enjoy one of the calmest and most beautiful moments of the day. ⸻ Cai Rang Floating Market When the river gets busier, you arrive at the famous floating market, where boats sell fruits and vegetables right on the water. Had a fantastic tour Huong was our guide. she was pleasant, helpful. She even got extra fruit for us to eat under the trees at one point. And she saved my life. There was a point where I was trying to take a picture by myself on this little boat that they have in the grass. yeah well guess what? that boat was NOT sitting in the grass as I suspected but was actually in a bunch of water that LOOKED like grass. Me getting on it by myself well, it almost went very badly. Me in the water and maybe getting pushed down by the boat. luckily Huong saved me and got the boat back. I owe her my life and you owe her the opportunity to give you the greatest tour you’ll get in Can Tho. Even if she doesn’t save your life you’ll still get an amazing tour.
