Cabo Half-Day Surf Lesson

The tour exceeded all expectations. Martin and team member(s) are tremendous guides, teachers, and people. Their approach combines professionalism, encouragement, patience, and motivation to elevate the experience. My son and I joined Martin and Tufic August 26th, 2026 to surf Los Cerritos Beach. Our wife/mom was able to join the tour to watch and support us which was special. Martin’s knowledge of the beach, surf, and channel were spot on. It wasn’t long before we both were catching sets and high-fiving each other. The photos are professional, and will help keep our memories alive for years to come. To round out the tour we enjoyed fresh cut fruit, cold drinks, croissants, and relaxation under the umbrella beach set up, all provided by Martin and team. By the end of the session you truly become a part of the Cabo Surf Tours Family! We will highly recommend Cabo Surf Tours to all ages and skills. Thank you Martin and Tufic!

From the pickup to drop off the guys did an amazing job. The surf location was amazing, you could tell they really were there for us to enjoy the ocean and have an amazing day. We will definitely use them for all there services in the future.

Our family had an absolutely incredible experience with Cabo Surf Tours and our instructor, Martin. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Cabo and a memory we’ll cherish for years to come. My son Dakota and I signed up for a surf lesson as complete beginners and had no idea what to expect. From the moment we arrived, Martin and his team made us feel welcome, comfortable, and excited to get in the water. Their professionalism, patience, and enthusiasm were evident from start to finish. The conditions on the day of our lesson were more challenging than usual, with rough surf and plenty of paddling required. As first-time surfers, it was physically demanding, but Martin and his team provided outstanding instruction and encouragement every step of the way. Despite the challenging conditions, both Dakota and I were able to catch waves and experience the thrill of surfing. Watching my son stand up on a wave was a moment I’ll never forget. What impressed us even more was how Martin and his team worked with our daughter. When we arrived, she was understandably nervous about the ocean and unsure about participating. Rather than pressuring her, Martin patiently encouraged her, helped her get comfortable with a board, and gave her the opportunity to experience the water at her own pace. When she decided she wasn’t comfortable going further, there was absolutely no pressure or disappointment. Instead, the team encouraged her to enjoy the beach and simply have fun. Their kindness, patience, and understanding made all the difference. By the end of the lesson, we were all spending time together in the ocean, swimming, laughing, and enjoying the experience as a family. What sets Cabo Surf Tours apart is not just their expertise as surf instructors, but their ability to make everyone feel included, regardless of age, skill level, or comfort in the water. Martin and his team created a safe, supportive, and fun environment that allowed each member of our family to enjoy the day in their own way. Martin was fantastic! He contacted me the day before our trip and sent me forecasts for wind so we could select the best break to surf and the best time. We went to 9 Palms and it was a beautiful beach and almost no one in the water. We basically had all the waves to ourselves. I enjoyed it so much I extended my stay in Cabo and went back with Martin a couple of days later to the same spot. This time he brought a diving camera with him and took amazing photos of the session - hundreds of professional shots of me on the waves. Excellent experience!

Very professional! Very good instructor! We’ve surfed in Puerto Rico, and Kauai. We are beginners. While having a great instructor in Kauai, I feel like Martin was a better instructor and was very good at describing proper stance and pop up methods.

Martin and his crew were studs and took great care of us on our half day surf tour. We originally booked a full day but backed off to half day after arriving in Cabo. He was super chill and made the update easily. He picked us up promptly at the hotel and had all the equipment we needed for our surf safari. It was an easy drive out to Nine Palms, where he set up the umbrellas and laid out the equipment. We had a quick intro technique lesson and jumped in the water. Johan was his extra swimmer and did a fantastic job getting my two boys up on surfboards with ease and confidence. We had a blissful set of conditions with good swell and calm winds, so we all had a blast for about two hours in the water. As novice surfers, we retired quickly, but couldn’t say no to catching one more set. Some yummy snacks of fruit, and some ham and cheese, croissants, with water and Gatorade afterwards helped us wash the salt water out and relax for a few minutes while they packed up the gear. An easy one hour return trip to town and we were back in time for late lunch with mom. Tired arms and perma-grins all around! Highly recommend these guys for a very intimate and personalized surf lesson experience.

Great day surfing with Martín today! Being relatively new to surfing, I was a bit nervous when we pulled up to 9 palms. The waves were bigger than I typically (try to) surf in San Diego, but Martin assured me we would catch many waves and be safe. I especially appreciated his confidence when he said “We only grow when we are challenged beyond our comfort zone!” The results being 4x more wave count than any other session to date! All logistics were very good (communication, pick up, safety, lunch, drop off etc.). Highly recommend Cabo surf tours if you’re looking to improve your skills and have a surf great experience in Los Cabos!

Martin and his crew were amazing. I am an experienced surfer and booked this eperience with my 3 adult daughters 30, 32, and 34 who are not surfers. They all were put epertly into the line up and all 3 girls had fun and great rides. I also enjoyed the break as even though a 100 meter paddle, it was a point break so was easy to paddle into the line up. This spot is remote and due to this fact there were only 4 - 6 other surfers in the water. Would totally do this again next time in Cabo.

Great experience. Prompt arrival to resort, very accommodating and easy to get along with guide (Martin) who provided food and bevarages , beach chair and umbrella . Surfing was amazing with great views.
