Very oor customer service

What should have been a straightforward visit to your park became an extremely stressful and distressing experience when I was unable to retrieve my personal belongings from the locker system. Among those belongings were my wallet and medication, making the situation considerably more serious than simply being unable to access a bag or other personal items. The circumstances were particularly concerning because I had limited time in which to resolve the issue before I needed to arrange to meet my transport back to Orlando. As the situation developed, I became increasingly anxious and panicked about whether I would be able to retrieve my belongings safely and, importantly, whether I would have access to my medication. What made the situation considerably worse was the response I received from Busch Gardens staff. Rather than somebody taking ownership of the problem and ensuring that it was resolved, I was repeatedly directed from one member of staff to another. I was given multiple people to speak to and was sent from person to person, including Guest Relations, without any clear indication that anyone was taking responsibility for resolving the issue. I found the apparent lack of urgency and interest in helping particularly disappointing. I was clearly distressed and repeatedly explained the circumstances, including the fact that I had limited time before needing to leave for my transport and that my wallet and medication were inside the locker. Despite this, I felt that I was treated as though this was simply an inconvenience rather than a genuine problem requiring immediate assistance. Guest Relations, in particular, should surely be the department where a customer experiencing a serious problem can expect somebody to take ownership, listen, provide reassurance and find a practical solution. Instead, my experience was one of being passed between individuals and departments with little meaningful assistance. I fully appreciate that technical failures can occur. I do not expect a major theme park to be immune from equipment or system failures. What I do expect, however, is that when something goes wrong, particularly when a customer is left unable to access essential personal belongings, there should be an effective customer-service procedure in place. The issue for me is therefore not simply that the locker system failed. It is the way Busch Gardens responded to that failure. A customer should not have to navigate multiple members of staff and departments while becoming increasingly distressed simply to retrieve their own property. There should have been a clear escalation process, with one member of staff taking ownership of the situation until it was resolved. The fact that I was already under pressure because of my limited transport time made the experience even more upsetting. Rather than leaving Busch Gardens with positive memories of my visit, I left feeling extremely let down by the organisation and, more importantly, by the way I was treated when I needed assistance.

Fun then Not so fun

Visiting Busch Gardens was a lot of fun the hollow scream events horror houses were awesome. My grandkids were 12 years old. They had just turned 12 on their birthday The last show that we went to see was a show about that had nurses. I guess it was a crazy professor or whatever but it had Igor saying he was horny. He was no warning signs to say that there was adult content for this show and my daughter and I were just shocked at the content where little children could attend it should’ve had warning signs all over the place before we went into that place. It was disgusting. I was disgusted, took my grandkids and walked out. That’s the only thing that I didn’t like about Busch Gardens, Halloween Hollow scream night.

Seems to have lost its way

Ive heard a lot of mixed reviews and its 10 years since we last visited and its definately changed and not for tge better. To start entry was reasonably quick, its now a cashless venue, as with all Seaworld Parks, which i personally dont like. A lot of the rides were either not working or broke mid ride, we were given a fast pass, but that has restrictions and doesnt alliw certain rides. I do like the park but its not as good as it was which is disappointing and all eight of us felt not worth a return trip unless things improve

Awful beyond belief

Utterly abysmal. Half the rides shut, rather dirty, disinterested catering staff...to be fair the animals seem well cared for. Extortionate parking. Went 20 years ago loved it, felt utterly ripped off this time. Avoid like the plague.

Run don’t go for one day you’ll regret it very fast. Not worth your hard earned money

Been an annual pass holder for this year and said why am I paying for this crappy park. It’s dirty, things are never opened, it’s like a dead amusement park with just getting your steps in. I left the park and went to my app and cancelled my annual pass. I def it will never buy any pass to busch Gardens ever again in my life. It used to be one of the best parks when amheiser Busch owned it. It will be closed one day because they have so many bad reviews taking your money and giving you nothing in return at their parks. We enjoy Disney now , they give you your moneys worth. Leave Busch gardens and go to Disney, you won’t regret that decision

Absolutely Terrible Experience

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a theme park. I purchased my tickets online, but Busch Gardens Tampa Bay never sent me the email with my tickets. Because of their mistake, I had to waste an entire hour standing in line just to get tickets I had already paid for. After finally getting everything sorted out and receiving my tickets, they closed the park because of supposed bad weather. After spending all that time trying to get inside, the entire visit was basically ruined. The whole experience was frustrating, disorganized, and a complete waste of my time and money. If you’re selling tickets online, customers should actually receive them, and there should be a better process when something goes wrong. Terrible customer experience from beginning to end. I would not recommend Busch Gardens Tampa Bay based on my experience. THEY DON"T WANT TO REFUND ME! Stealers!

The most unorganised park in Florida! Don't waste your money!

Since not getting any kind of response from Busch Gardens from my compliant I thought I would put it here so its public and they might actually repIy. I am writing to formally complain about what was, by some considerable margin, the worst day out my family and I have experienced during our holiday in Florida. Unfortunately, the problems started almost immediately and continued throughout the day. The park appeared poorly organised, seriously understaffed and, in many instances, the staff we encountered lacked the level of professionalism, customer service and training I would reasonably expect from a major theme park. The lady working in the car park was, without question, the most pleasant and professional member of staff we encountered. Unfortunately, from that point onwards, the experience deteriorated significantly. There was only one tram operating from the car park, and when we asked about this we were simply told that the park was short staffed. Having customers walk into the park because there are insufficient staff to operate the tram service is hardly an acceptable start to the day. We then experienced significant issues with our Fast Ride tickets. When downloaded, the tickets were formatted to print on A4 pages. On arrival, we asked whether there was a way to add them to our phones or otherwise obtain a more practical format, as carrying multiple sheets of A4 paper around a theme park all day is clearly impractical. The response we received made what should have been a simple customer service request unnecessarily difficult. The staff were extremely unhelpful and showed little interest in finding a solution. Eventually, I managed to find a way to add the tickets to the park app myself. It should not have required the customer to find their own solution to such a straightforward issue. However, the biggest problem was the Fast Ride service itself. We paid a significant amount for priority access, expecting this to provide a genuine premium experience. Instead, on several occasions the priority queue was actually slower than the standard queue. The system appeared extremely poorly organised. Rather than prioritising customers who had paid for the premium service, we were left waiting in the so called priority queue while customers in the standard queue were allowed onto rides ahead of us. In every other major theme park we have visited, the purpose of a priority queue is understood. Where necessary, the standard queue is paused or managed so that customers who have paid for premium access receive the service they have purchased. That simply did not happen here. When I questioned this, rather than receiving a professional explanation or assistance, I was confronted by an extremely aggressive member of staff. His manner and behaviour towards me in front of my family were completely unacceptable. I have never experienced that level of hostility from a theme park employee when simply asking why a premium service I had paid for was not being delivered as advertised. As a result, the Fast Ride tickets were effectively worthless to us. We paid a substantial amount of money for a premium service and did not receive the experience we had reasonably expected. We felt completely ripped off. The organisation around the rides was also extremely poor. Once you reached the ride entrance, there often appeared to be nobody directing guests into the appropriate lanes. It became a free for all, with customers left to work out for themselves where they were supposed to go. This is not what I would expect from a professionally operated theme park. If the park is genuinely short staffed, that is a management issue. Customers should not be expected to suffer reduced service, poor organisation and inadequate customer support as a consequence of staffing decisions or cost cutting. The pricing within the park was also noticeably higher than other parks we have visited in Florida, particularly for drinks. Paying a premium price is one thing when it is accompanied by a premium experience. Unfortunately, in this case we experienced neither. I appreciate that there will undoubtedly be some excellent employees working at the park, and I do not want to unfairly criticise everyone. However, the front of house staff we encountered, particularly around the photo desks, shops, restaurants and ride operations, urgently need improved training in customer service, communication and the handling of customer complaints. Overall, the experience was a complete disaster and, in my view, was primarily the result of poor management, inadequate organisation and insufficient staff training. I would currently have absolutely no hesitation in advising friends, family or other visitors to AVOID this venue. That is an extremely disappointing conclusion to reach, particularly when we had paid for upgraded tickets in the expectation of having a better experience. In fact, my youngest son was so unimpressed that he put your logo into ChatGPT and asked it to change the wording to “Painful Gardens”. Whilst that was his way of expressing his frustration, it unfortunately sums up how the day felt to our family. We have visited numerous theme parks during our time in Florida and have experienced significantly better organisation, customer service and value elsewhere. This was, by far, the worst park experience we have had. I would therefore ask that this complaint is reviewed by a senior member of management, particularly in relation to the Fast Ride service, the behaviour of the staff member who confronted me, the apparent lack of queue management and the general standard of customer service throughout the park. We paid for an upgraded experience and did not receive what we paid for. I would therefore also expect the park to consider an appropriate refund or compensation for the Fast Ride tickets. I look forward to receiving a substantive response rather than a generic acknowledgement of this complaint.

An immense disappointment: time and money wasted

We had specifically adjusted our itinerary to spend a day at Busch Gardens, and the conclusion is clear: what a disappointment. Slow throughput and operations: Wait times are exploding unnecessarily. The staff's work pace is exasperatingly slow. You clearly get the impression that everything is calculated to discourage visitors and force them to buy paid Express Passes. Chain closures due to weather: For more than half the day, almost all the attractions remained closed at the slightest gust of wind or risk of rain. Grotesque operational management that paralyzes the park for hours on end. A cruel lack of efficiency: The management and teams would really benefit from taking a tour of the major European parks to learn what flow management, a sense of service, and true operational efficiency mean. We were so looking forward to discovering this park, but it was simply a waste of time. If you are looking for real roller coasters with efficient throughput and a real experience, move along and go to Energylandia in Poland instead; it's another world!

Awful experience

This park is a joke! Falcons Fury Shut, Cheetah Hunt Shunt, kumba Shut, Congo River Rapids Shut, Cobras Curse Shut. Half the park is shut, they charge $43 for parking! Want to charge $20 to go on the Skyride and Chic Filet has been removed from the all day dining. Complete rip off!! Only take 3 hours to do the whole park with what’s open. Waste of money and time!! Will never return

Don't Ignore the Negative Reviews

You are going to find the occasional, "Ignore the negative reviews!" It's a lie. I didn't look at reviews because I didn't think I needed to. My parents brought me here 46 years ago when I was little and it was awesome. I wanted my kids to experience this. We went. Half the rides were closed. Most of the beverage stations were closed. Wanna know what was open? EVERY FEATURE THAT YOU CAN PAY TO EXPERIENCE. Yep, all that stuff was operational, including the lucrative locker system. The beverage stations that were open - bees. Yep, workers swatting away bees while trying to fill your cup, you swatting away bees while trying to pay. And they're looking for the first excuse, ANY excuse, to shut down the remaining rides - which they found. 3 hours into our day, an ominous announcement arrives over the speakers: "Due to dangerous inclement weather, all rides are closed and we advise all guests to seek immediate shelter!" It was sunny and 95 degrees. There was a small dark cloud off in the distance. That's it. We were there another hour, walking around a park operating zero rides, but fully serving those who wanted to spend money on food, alcohol, and souvenirs. It never did rain. Didn't even get windy either. But the rides remained closed. Seriously - DO NOT IGNORE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. I was so angry when we left the park (yesterday) that I told myself when we got back to the hotel, I was going to write a negative review. But then I slept on it, and it is now the next day. And I decided to write a positive review. This was the best I could do. We leave tomorrow morning. We drove here from Wisconsin. This was the only major theme park the trip was for. Whoever owns this park deserves to go out of business and lose everything. I know that doesn't happen to these kinds of people, but it doesn't mean they don't DESERVE it.
