We took the midday bus + cable car combo from Cat Ba to Hanoi, and everything was seamless thanks to Mr. Du. He was super organized, friendly, and kept everyone well-informed at every step of the journey. The transition from the bus to the cable car and back to the bus on the mainland was completely hassle-free. We took the early morning 6:00 AM bus from Hanoi Old Quarter with Cat Ba Express and arrived on the island around 9:15 AM. Our tour guide, Mr. Du, made the entire trip effortless! Coordinating multi-modal travel (hotel pickup, bus ride, speedboat, and final shuttle) can usually be stressful, but Mr. Du was extremely organized. Right from the start, he was punctual, clear with instructions in English, and made sure everyone’s luggage was seamlessly transferred between vehicles. He gave us helpful tips about Cat Ba Town during the drive and ensured everyone was dropped directly at their hotel doors. Clean, comfortable bus, great driver, and exceptional guidance from Mr. Du.
