Ákos Farkas was an incredibly knowledgeable and engaging guide to Budapest. He covered an impressive amount of ground in three hours, but the tour never felt rushed or scripted. It was personal and conversational, and we loved being able to ask him questions not only about Budapest’s history, but also about everyday life in Hungary. And, by the way, Ákos has a degree in history—so he really is the cream of the crop as far as guides go! His depth of knowledge showed throughout the tour, and we feel very lucky to have been paired with him. We were also extremely impressed with the quality of the guides selected by this tour operator. Compared with tours we’ve taken on previous trips to Europe, including as recently as last year, the level of professionalism, knowledge, and personal engagement was noticeably different. Not what was expected
The guide just walked around with us, pointing out a few things. He did not tell us a lot about city history. Overall, not what we were expecting and definitely does not worth the money. I would not recommend this tour.

Lovely morning walking tour in Budapest!
Lovely walking tour of key highlights of Pest side of city. Julia was very responsive to our itinerary requests and very knowledgeable about the old and recent history of the city. A very nice woman to enjoy the beauty and history of Budapest with.

3 hours Budapest
Macarena was well-prepared, gave us the history of the area and showed us everything we requested and more! We spent the day in Pest at our request as our river cruise tour the following day was to hit the highlights of Buda. However, our ship had to leave the city early due to low water levels and we never got to see Buda. I wished that we had toured Buda with Macarena as well, which is what she recommended. There was a downpour in the middle of out tour and the guide knew exactly where to duck in until the rain was over. She also provided suggestions on where to eat once we were on our own. And took pictures of us (all the right angles) from her phone with a better camera than ours and sent them to us on WhatsApp. My husband and I are so glad we booked this tour! Thank you!

Walking Tour of Budapest
Linda was our tour guide and she was superb in every way. We wanted to walk so from our hotel on the Danube where Linda met us we walked to Heroes Squae in Pest to Fishermans Bastion in Buda and we got our miles in. Linda was very knowledgeable about everything Budapest and also very personable which made our trip fantastic. We stopped at New York Cafe for a rest and it was lovely but took some time because of the crowd there. We did not go into churches or museums so if you want to spend more time at a few places make a list and then go back on your own. Later we went to Gerbeaud’s Cafe in the hotel zone and we felt it was authentic Hungarian but both cafes were very nice. Try Gerbeaud’s for lunch or coffee too. We also liked Kéhli Vendeglo for Hungarian cuisine and violin music. All in all it was a great trip to Budapest thanks to Linda!
