Travelers will spot the colorful roof and tall spire of Matthias Church high on the Buda side. This 13th-century Gothic church is a key landmark in the Castle District and stands next to Fisherman’s Bastion. Its illuminated facade is striking at night.
From the boat, guests can enjoy a postcard-perfect view of Fisherman’s Bastion, a fairytale-like terrace on the Buda side. With its white towers and panoramic lookout points, it offers stunning views over the city and is beautifully lit after dark.

A great alternative if you don’t want to drink or are picky or don’t want to waste time trying to get to the bar for free booze.
I booked this tour because it was very reasonably priced, left from a close location to our hotel, and received very good reviews. When we arrived, there were many people queued for another cruise, and we waited probably an extra 10 minutes for our boat to disembark and for us to embark. At first it seemed a bit chaotic and unorganized, and I was hesitant about actually getting the “guaranteed” rooftop seat. However, our embarkation was smooth, we left soon after everyone was on board and the patrons took their seats quickly and in an organized fashion. The tour was quiet and smooth - we sailed to the Green bridge and turned and went the other direction, turning before the Margaret bridge. It was so calm and somewhat surreal. The guests were quiet and respectful and the approximately 50 minute cruise was the perfect amount of time to see the sights. I had low expectations when we were standing in the queue to board but was pleasantly surprised by the clientele and the smoothness of the ride. Highly recommend. Location to board just south of the Chain Bridge is optimal. Budapest at night from the Danube is a sight to behold. Highlight was the birds flying above an illuminated Parliament.
Great way to see the main attractions from the water! Good value for the money and rooftop was the way to go. This is a great way to get out on the river without a high cost and enjoy the magic of the buildings all lit.
A totally recommended experience, we left on time and took a trip along the river, we enjoyed the Budapest sunset. It is a basic boat with its chairs to enjoy the views, you can choose exterior or interior. I recommend it without a doubt
What a beautiful event, a must do when you are in Budapest. Good value for money. A rooftop seat was great and you could see all Budapest has to offer.
My sister and I booked this tour a couple of days in advance. The boat is nothing fancy but is all you need. No loud music just you and others enjoying the view. All rooftop seating but I think an area for if it is raining. We went just before sunset so we got to see everything lit up at night. I think watching sunset at Liberty Bridge and then going on tour after dark would be just as good. VERY easy to find. It’s the only boarding boat on the Buda side between Chain Bridge and Elizabeth bridge. BE SURE TO WATCH for email they send after booking. Apparently that is how you get audio guide because it is through your phone which requires you to use data. We did not get to use audio guide. I didn’t see the email they sent and wasn’t using data.
Great value for money - just the right amount of time on the river - all main attractions seen! Highly recommend.
You board the boat plug into the information which doesn’t come in any order so you just have to hope you connect the right information to where you are. Would be good to have prompts
Dissatisfied with my experience. It does not offer a direct georeferenced point on Google Maps. I went well in advance and there was nothing at the site, so I made a mistake, walked more, and passed the area. Upon returning, there was no time left and the upper deck was practically full. The seats? Garden chairs that people moved around as they pleased. The funniest part, they send you a ticket with a QR code that nobody scanned. Due to lack of time, but I was tempted to go the next day to do it again for free if they continued not to verify tickets. The audio guide? I suppose it was through a website, but I didn't see any easy and accessible option to get it.
The cruise was nice and Budapest in the evening is wonderful with all the lights and the beautiful monuments. I gave three stars because I chose this cruise because there was the audio guide that they did not provide us instead.. So if you are looking for a cruise where there is all the information about what you are seeing, do not choose this one.
