We joined a group hosted by Camilla. It was a perfect day for cycling and she delivered a fascinating and comprehensive tour of Budapest. I’d recommend this tour to anybody. The cycling is easy, the bikes are good quality and it’s worth the money.
We've done quite a few city bike tours in various cities around Europe and this was our least favorite. Our though our guide was knowledgeable about Budapest sites, she was not very personable. Her hand signals were wrong or non-existent which made it very difficult for our group of 8 to follow her. The tour did give a good overview of the important Budapest sites though.
Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re glad the tour still gave you a good overview of Budapest’s main sights, but we’re sorry that the experience itself fell short of what you’ve come to expect from city bike tours. Most of our guests are highly satisfied with our tours, as all of our guides are certified, well trained, and experienced local guides. It would be interesting to know who was your guide, unfortunately it is not mentioned in the review.
Danny, our tour guide was fantastic. He was informative and enthusiastic about Hungary’s past and how it tied into all of gorgeous historical buildings. The bike ride was the best bike tour we have been in and the city is incredible. We visited almost everywhere. We are first time visitors to Budapest and I highly recommend this tour. It is absolutely safe and 99% of the ride is flat and in bike lanes where there are no cars. We have several stops and if needed you can purchase water or food. I recommend bringing a water bottle and an energy bar if you take the 10am tour since it goes past lunch.
What a fantastic review — thank you! 🚴♂️ It sounds like you got exactly what we hope first-time visitors take away from the tour: a great overview of Budapest, plenty of history, and a fun and comfortable ride along the way. We’re especially happy to hear that Danny’s enthusiasm and storytelling brought the city’s past to life. Your practical tips about the 10am tour are spot on too — a little water and an energy bar can definitely come in handy! 😊 We always recommend to have a good breakfast before the tour, so you can make it until 13:30. Water is provided during the tour, but we encourage everybody to use refillable bottles to save the word from plastic waste. We really appreciate the recommendation and are delighted that you found the route safe, relaxed, and easy to enjoy. Budapest Bike Breeze is very happy to have been part of your first Budapest experience!
Awesome bike and history tour of Budapest (well really only Pest as Buda too highly for regular bike). Very informative, knowledgeable and licensed guide Petra. We always do a bike tour in a new city to get a better insight and this one did not disappoint.
Thank you for the fantastic review! 🚴♀️ We’re really happy to hear that the tour gave you the insight into Budapest you were looking for, especially since you make a bike tour part of every new city you visit. Petra will be delighted to know that her knowledge and guidance made such a good impression. And yes, Buda does have a few hills that make a regular bike work a little harder! 😄 That’s one reason we keep our city tour focused on the flatter parts, while offering e-bikes and dedicated Buda routes for those who want to tackle the hills. Thanks for riding with us!
Gorgeous bike ride through Budapest. Very enthusiastic, local guide with a license and much knowledge of history. She took plenty of time, answered all our questions, and showed us the different sides of the city that you wouldn't just discover yourself. The tempo is calm, everyone can handle it. Really recommended!
Atila was an exceptional guide and went out of his way to show us art, architecture, and memorials not on the normal tour. Great knowledge of history and the city. He then took the time to give recommendations to each traveler based on their interests. Don’t hesitate to book!
Thank you for such a thoughtful review! It’s wonderful to hear that Attila went beyond the usual sights and introduced you to some of Budapest’s art, architecture, and memorials that are easy to miss. We especially love hearing that he took the time to tailor recommendations to each traveler — that personal touch can make a big difference. We’ll definitely pass your kind words on to him. Thanks for the enthusiastic recommendation, and we hope you enjoyed discovering even more of Budapest after the tour! 🚴♂️✨
This was great start to our 3 days in Budapest and a really good way to explore the city for the first time. Bridget our guide was excellent and provided lots of information and interesting stops, including water breaks. Our 2 teenagers enjoyed it and no phones seen as either cycling or listening!
We love hearing that the tour was a great start to your Budapest adventure! 🚴♀️ Bridget will be especially happy to know that her stories, stops, and little water breaks helped make the experience enjoyable for the whole family. And the fact that two teenagers went for the whole tour without their phones is perhaps the highest compliment we could get! 😄📵 We’re so glad everyone enjoyed discovering the city together, and we hope the rest of your three days were just as memorable!
A fantastic tour of the City visiting many different parts. Lots of key information shared by our knowledgeable guide. Highly recommend.
Great to hear you enjoyed seeing so many different sides of Budapest! 🚴♀️ A bike is a pretty unbeatable way to cover a lot of ground while still having time to stop, look around, and hear the stories behind the places you visit. Thanks for riding with us and for the recommendation — we’re delighted you enjoyed the experience!
Very enjoyable and great way to see the city of Budapest and its highlights, especially the stunning architecture! Our guide was very informative and friendly and took care to ensure biking safety and hydration needs given the hot day!
Thank you for the lovely feedback! Budapest’s architecture really is something special, and seeing it from a bike gives you a chance to appreciate so much more of it. 🚴♀️🏛️ We’re glad your guide kept an eye on both safety and hydration, especially on a hot Budapest day. It sounds like you had a great ride — thanks for joining us and for sharing your experience!
