Your Budapest food tour begins at the Pest's oldest church, right on the Danube, with views of Buda across the water. Paprika is a recurring theme in Hungarian cuisine. You'll taste it in goulash, sausage, almapaprika, and dips, and learn how Vitamin C was first discovered by a Hungarian! You'll learn about goulash communism, bite into deep-fried lángos, sip on fizzy grape must, and wander through hidden passages. Then make your way deeper into the Jewish Quarter, famous for Budapest's ruin bars, its vibrant street food, and art scene. Never more than 12 people in the group. Morning tours end with a chimney cake to eat on the go; afternoon tours include an additional alcoholic drink and end with a vegan version of a classic Hungarian dessert. 10 tastings, 2 drinks, 2 neighborhoods, and enough stories to change how you think about Hungarian food.

Meet your guide in front of the oldest church of Pest close to the Danube. Admire the gorgeous views of Elisabeth bridge and the Buda side including Gellért hill, Liberty statue and the Citadel.
Grab Hungary's favorite street food: lángos and find out why this deep-fried dough topped with sour cream, cheese and garlic is the go-to beach food for locals.
Continue on one of the oldest streets of Pest, where the elite would go shopping during Budapest’s Golden age and where you had to stand in line to get a Big Mac during the Cold War.
Stop at a family-run eatery whose founders invented Hungary's first lunch delivery service. Sip on some fizzy grape must from Tokaj, taste goulash, sausage, almapaprika and try a cold fruit soup.
Walk through a 200m long hallway once part of the Jewish ghetto, now full of lively bars and restaurants.
Discover colorful murals and street art, catch a glimpse of the Orthodox synagogue, then step inside a former stove factory now home to an eclectic ruin bar.
Visit a 19th-century market hall off the beaten path, sample paprika-themed dips and Hungarian wine
Both the morning and afternoon tours end within 10 minutes of Klauzál Square, but at different locations. The morning tour includes a cinnamon-flavoured chimney cake on the go and ends at a ruin bar, while the afternoon tour finishes with vegan cottage cheese dumplings at a restaurant after the ruin bar visit.

Great experience, super food and fun walk through a beautiful city. Our guide, Raymond did a wonderful job!
Raymond was wonderful! Great personality, very knowable about the history of Budapest, and the most important part the food spots he took us too were amazing! Food was delicious, each with a very homemade essence around the food we had. Definitely tried some things I wouldn’t have otherwise! Plus he gave some further recommendations for food to try on my own. 10/10
