This was truly amazing experience, and there were so many brown bears at the falls and throughout the park! Our pilot was very timely and got us into bear school quickly so that we could get to the falls. The only thing I wish is that we had more time at the park.
Great trip. Go in July. Better salmon in river means more bears. Turned out to be trip to take in Alaska.
the flight was not bumpy even though the weather was rainy. Absolutely, It is worth it.
It was an absolutely unique experience. First, we had a super friendly pilot who flew us by plane to Katmai National Park for 1.5 hours. After that, we walked directly to Brooks Falls after bear school. We were lucky enough to see over 30 bears at the water at the same time. There were very friendly park rangers everywhere who kept a watchful eye on the bears at all times, so that humans and animals interacted with each other very respectfully. For us, it was the best day in Alaska.
Get to the falls ASAP to get on the list to see the bears. It’s a long wait. Take an early flight over if possible to beat afternoon crowds.
Flying in, you're welcomed by bears on the beach. After a well-done education in the info center, you are off to go. Walking through nature towards the falls, you'll be not disappointed. Bears all over fishing salmon, and there are a lot of cubs, too. Walking around, there is a good chance that you have to share your way with a bear. Amazing again. All over a 1000 % yes, If you have time don't miss this
Unfortunately due to wind our tour is canceled but the follow up on availability (no option was good for us) and return of payment was flawless. Hope to be back to have the experience one day
Amazing time, definitely recommend doing the later time the falls didn't have a time limit when we went
The pilot was professional and can fly a sea plane well. He knew the area and answered all questions.
It was amazing any the bear viewing was phenomenal!! Would recommend this activity to anyone visiting Homer.
