Itinerary
Brighton
Pass by
After a short introduction and brief about what to expect, we start our journey. This is a tour for all your senses: hear the stories from your guide, see, smell and taste the chocolate and watch Brighton as we walk along.
Our chocolate tour varies as we cover different areas at different times: the historical city centre, arty Kemptown and the hidden gem of Hove. This tour is for those travellers who cannot get enough of chocolate - in any form: hot chocolate, macaroons, chocolate cake, pralines, chocolate ice cream, pain au chocolat. Basically anything that has chocolate in it.
There is time for photos and questions as we walk. The landmarks listed below are examples only and an indication of what to expect. Are you ready to get yourself on a high? :)
North Laine
Pass by
Welcome to the former Brighton slum area with a lot of arts & crafts, small independent shops and lots of colours. Get your camera ready! Also, make sure you bring your chocoholic self as we stop in the North Laine for some tastings.
Royal Pavilion
Pass by
It is hard not to see our very own 'Taj Mahal' style palace as it dominates the central city. Don't forget to bring your camera so you can feel like like a royal in front of it!
Brighton Dome
Pass by
Today the Brighton Dome is a place for art lovers and those interested in music, theatre, creative workshops and exhibitions. But once upon a time, it had a very different function. Join us to find out more.
The Lanes
Pass by
After we have left the Laines and Pavilion Gardens, we cross the main street that divides this area and the southern part of Brighton. There you will discover the origins of our city and wander around the little alleyways. In the Lanes are also some great shops and eateries where we will make a stop for a chocolate taster.

Tasty tour, friendly and informative guide
Fantastic tour - Sophie was an excellent guide and showed us six different stops. Each stop offered a very different product and we had a lovely range of chocolate throughout the trip. Sophie was friendly and informative and took plenty of pictures throughout the tour. I would highly recommend!

The perfect present for a chocoholic
As someone who thinks the only thing better than chocolate is more chocolate, this tour was the perfect birthday present for me!
Starting with truly yummy Nutella-covered chocolate doughnuts from an artisan baker we went on to visit two wonderful chocolatiers - one Greek and one Belgian - a fudge shop, and the Bird & Blend Tea Co for the unusual but delicious chocolate digestive tea. The highlight for me was the Knoops cafe where we had the most amazing milkshake, made with our own choice of 80% cocoa, and a contrasting hot chocolate with a spicy twist. Our guide Sophie was excellent, telling us a lot about the history of the area and introducing us to some fabulous street art. We were the only guests and really enjoyed her company and the wide-rangng conversation.
