The self-guided tour was perfect! I loved being able to go at my own pace and explore at my leisure. Along the way, I stopped at various spots to shop, sightsee, and grab a bite to eat. The stories included in the tour were engaging, and I really appreciated the option to dive deeper and listen to additional details when I wanted to learn more. There were so many places I would have completely missed or not known about without this tour!

First, may I start with just saying that the Boston area is beautiful, the nature/history is mesmerizing. Our guide, Mitch Lapin (thank you once again btw) made everything to make sure our tour would be as interesting and as fun as possible. I was overwhelmed of his knowledge of all the historic sites. He was very patient of the thousands of questions from my boyfriend and answered everyone with a smile. Highly recommend our tour guide and look forward to doing it again in the future.
The tour was amazing. Really easy to follow and showed us some incredible places in Boston/American history. I would recommend this tour to anyone who’s coming in from out of town and locals who want to learn more about their city.
The tour was excellent and very entertaining! There were a lot of great stories and even some humor in there. I’m going to check this app out in other cities in the future!
The commentary was excellent and provided a great overview of Boston history. I expected the tour to focus exclusively on Revolutionary era history. I was pleasantly surprised to learn about history of the area from other eras as well. It took us a little while to learn and understand the navigational tools accompanying the audio tour. Perhaps some additional orientation to using the app might have made our experience slightly more smooth. But our overall feedback is entirely positive.
Hi there, Thank you so much for sharing your experience, we're happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour. Would you mind telling me a little bit more about what specifically it was that you'd like to see in terms of additional orientation to using the app? We're always looking at ways to make the VoiceMap app as intuitive and easy-to-use for listeners as possible, so we'd value your feedback. Beyond the instructions we provide one you purchase a tour through TripAdvisor and the instructions on how VoiceMap works in the first audio location, what specifically do you think would have made the process a bit smoother for you? You're also welcome to email us at support@voicemap. me with your feedback. Best, Helene
The two hours I spent trying to get the trip to start (it never did). The only easym paRT Was paying. That worked well,
Hi there, I'm sorry that you were unhappy with your experience. When you were having technical difficulties, did you contact VoiceMap support via email or telephone? We are contactable by both telephone and email, so if you have technical difficulties, please reach out to us so we can identify what is going wrong. Can you email more information to support@voicemap.me? This way, we can identify exactly what went wrong. We can troubleshoot the issue and process a refund if you email us your details. Again, I'm sorry about the poor experience you had.
App is very glitchy. If you wander off the path and explore other areas, it is hard to get the app back on track. Cannot easily do the route in a different order either (if starting at the opposite end from where the audio tour starts).
Hi there, I'm sorry that you were unhappy with your experience. Can you email more information to support@voicemap.me? This way, we can identify exactly what went wrong. As mentioned in the instructions we sent you, all VoiceMap tours follow a set route and include turn-by-turn directions. If you started a tour at the end and did it in reverse, left turns would become right turns. If you stopped the tour along the way for a break or to visit an attraction mentioned en route, then you can use the Resume button to pick up where you left off. When you select Resume you'll be shown a list of the three closest locations to where you are. Click on the location you want to start from, and the tour will resume from there. I'm sorry for your frustrating experience. Regards, Brent
A Wonderful self guided tour, allows you to go at your own pace and spend more time a stops. Very informative
Good for a self walk. We like the narrator. Watch the traffic if using buds! Better than walking with a group tour of 25! And cheaper. App is a bit hinky at first setting up but one set it tracks and start and stops pretty well
This tour does not follow the full Freedom trail. It is informative for the locations it does cover but doesn’t get you to the USS Constitution museum or bunker Hill
Hi This is a highly-rated tour with an average of 4/5 from over 60 ratings. We make it clear in the itinerary that the tour doesn't include the entire Freedom Trail which would double the length of this tour. Instead, it focuses on the historical centre. Keep well, Alicia
