Our Home is located on top of the hill above Sarajevo. That position gives us one of the best views of Sarajevo. We offer cooking lessons at our home because we believe that the only way for our guests to experience local way of living is to visit our home, our garden , make the food we eat almost every day and enjoy in one of the best wines from Herzegovina – you can’t go more local than that.
The only condition we have is to bring positive energy and a STRONG will to eat whatever you made at the end of cooking lessons. On the other hand we can promise you a lot of fun and laugh!

# A Delicious and Meaningful Bosnian Cooking Experience
Mersiha gave us such a wonderful and memorable cooking experience. She introduced us to traditional Bosnian dishes in a very personal and engaging way, and you can really feel how deeply cooking is connected to her life and family traditions.
The ingredients were fresh and locally grown, and everything we prepared tasted incredibly authentic. In fact, some of the dishes we made were even better than what we had tried in restaurants. The class was hands-on, relaxed, and full of useful cooking tips, which made the whole experience very enjoyable.
Mersiha also shared a little of her personal story and the background behind the food, which added extra meaning without taking away from the focus on cooking.
Thank you, Mersiha, for such a delicious and meaningful experience. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience Bosnian cuisine in a truly local and personal way.

World class cooking class!
This was truly a one of a kind experience. Mersiha was so lovely and welcomed us into her home. We had such a fun time making multiple traditional Bosnian recipes that she grew up cooking. Stretching the burek dough was an experience like no other. We had a wonderful time and I cannot recommend this class enough. Not to mention the food was the best we had in Bosnia! We will definitely do this again if we are ever back in the area.

Incredible Cooking Lesson!
Bosnian Cooking Lessons was hands-down one of our favorite experiences while visiting Bosnia! Mersiha was a gracious and knowledgeable host who welcomed us into her home with open arms. We not only prepared a variety of local dishes, but also received a personal perspective into Bosnian culture and traditions. We then enjoyed dinner with new-found friends from around the world. Mersiha even provided the recipes for us to try at home! Truly the best way to get a “taste” of Bosnia!

Wonderful experience on our last day in Bosnia
We had such a wonderful experience with Mersiha. From the moment we walked through the door, she was genuinely excited to have us there and greeted us with big hugs, like we had known each other for a long time. That atmosphere continued during the entire cooking class, which lasted about 4 hours. The flow of the class was very well done, as someone who has taken several of these classes. I particularly enjoyed learning the techniques to make burek, and she was very patient with our many fumbles. More than just the cooking and the food however, was the conversation. We spent a lot of our time in Sarajevo focused on history, the war, etc, but on the last day of our trip, it was lovely to relax and enjoy the present moment with a wonderful host, food, and conversation. Would highly recommend.

Bosnian Cooking Lessons
Cooking with Mersiha was so much more than a cooking class. It honestly felt like spending an afternoon with an old friend.
She welcomed me into her home with such warmth and kindness and patiently taught me how to make traditional Bosnian pita and other meals. Along the way, we shared stories, laughter, memories and conversations about life and the future. It was such a genuine cultural experience that I’ll never forget.
Thank you, Mersiha, for opening your home and your heart. I left with more than just a new recipe, I left with beautiful memories and an even deeper appreciation for Bosnian hospitality and tradition. I couldn’t recommend this experience more.

Big Hearts, Full Bellies
BEST experience so far in Bosnia! Had no expectations when I came into Sarajevo and just wanted to eat everything. Took the class since I love learning and cooking dishes that I’m not familiar with or at all really. The class was fun, easy, stressful at some points because I’m a perfectionist, and the end result was fantastic! The food was better than some of the restaurants out here. As it should be when cooked at home, great conversations and with good company; and good wine! Def recommend or you’re missing out! Come hungry, go home full and happy!
