Description
Never been landsailing? That's okay. No experience necessary. Bonaire has the perfect conditions and we have the ideal location. Sailing a blokart is super easy to learn. We'll give you a 10 minute lesson to ensure you have the most fun during your time on the track. This activity is for everyone because you control the speed. Those wishing to take it easy and enjoy a leisurely, wind-powered sail can do so, and those wanting a full dose of adrenaline will also enjoy themselves. We have three shadow (double) blokarts available so small children (ages 3-8) or elderly parents can ride in the "side car". No excuses for not participating as we recently had a 91 year old lady experience landsailing at our track. Children, age 8 and older, can sail solo (depending on wind conditions).

Epic Wind-Powered Adventure in Bonaire
Our first excursion in Bonaire was the LandSailing Adventure, and it was SO much fun!
We met our driver in the port area and boarded a small bus to the LandSailing site directly from the port area. Our driver made the ride interesting by sharing information about Bonaire and pointing out sites along the way.
Once we arrived, we received our gear and watched a safety and instructional video before gearing up and climbing into the landsailing carts.
The track is right along the coast of the Caribbean Sea, so the views were absolutely fantastic! Once we got moving, it was exhilarating flying around the track. It was definitely an adrenaline-filled experience and a lot of fun. This is a physical activity, with quite a bit of hand and arm use, so keep that in mind if you're considering booking it. You are allowed to go at your own pace- as slow or as fast as you like. For us, the fun definitely outweighed the effort! There were people of all ages participating during our session.
The staff took photos and videos throughout the session. They took a group photo of us with the carts after our session. All of the photos were complimentary and could be downloaded free from their website. The six action videos were available for a small $10 fee. After our sailing session they provided us with cold water in reusable souvenir water bottles to take home, which was such a nice touch. And I couldn't resist buying the cutest souvenir T-shirt featuring the carts and their safety catchphrase: "Let go of the rope!" 😂
Afterward, our driver continued sharing information about Bonaire and pointing out interesting places on the way back to the port.
This was a unique, exciting, and memorable experience. Definitely recommended for anyone looking for something adventurous and different to do in Bonaire!

Best Anniversary event!
My wife and I absolutely loved this adventure. We got to speed through the track at our own pace. I got to go really fast and she took her time. It was a great experience for both of us. I will absolutely be recommending this to friends and family and anyone else who asks the service was amazing. The experience was worth it and I am really glad we got a chance to do this.

Land Surfing at its best
It was overall a great experience and fun time. It's a lot easier than it looks and you can get going pretty fast. The instructors are clear with the information and directions. I would not recommend if you have arthritis in your hands or elbowI's. You'll need a tight grip in order to go faster. At the end they'll give you this nifty little water bottle with a QR code for pictures. Its right on the ocean so you can grab some quick pics if you drive closer. WATCH OUT FOR IGUANAS CROSSING THE TRACK!!

It was amazing from start...

Great experience!

Unique speed experience by the Sea
Landsailing was uniquely addictive if you enjoy low to the ground speed and races. Although, your course is dependent on the strength and direction of the wind so a windy day would be preferable. This is an hour event and not two hours as Viator indicated.

Just to clear up the timing, our Viator listing states: "The total tour takes about 2 hours including travel time from Kralendijk." That 2 hours covers the drive out to the track, roughly 10-15 minutes of rules and sailing tips, gear fitting, about 45 minutes of sailing, then the debrief back at reception and the return journey. So the on-track portion is what you experienced, and the 2 hours is the full excursion door to door.
And you are right that wind makes all the difference, though our range of sail sizes means we can run in anything from 6 to 25 knots. Thanks for sailing with us!
