The tour starts near Piazza Maggiore, where you'll meet the guide. Together, you'll make your way to the heart of the square, where the guide will provide an initial introduction to the city and the significance of what surrounds this square.
The Basilica of San Petronio stands as one of Bologna's most important churches. Upon entering, the guide will showcase its intricate frescoes and delve into its history.
Situated inside the Archiginnasio of Bologna, the Anatomical Theatre is a breathtakingly iconic site that symbolizes the city's importance throughout Italian history.

- To ascend the Clock Tower it is mandatory to wear closed shoes, it is not allowed to enter with flip-flops or sandals due to the presence of very steep steps.
- The duration of the tour may vary, from 2 to 2.5 hours, as the climb to the Clock Tower is done independently, without the guide (ticket included in the price). You can decide how much time to spend enjoying the view!
- Mobility impairments and disabilities: this tour is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.

Maria was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable of the local area and history of Bologna. Only downside was that my wife had her shoulders out so couldn’t go into the basilica, I’d suggest informing people who book of this, ahead of the tour.

Our guide was a very nice gentleman but really did not enjoy this tour. Had a very hard time hearing and understanding our guide. I left the tour not knowing much more about Bologna than when we started.

Really nice and well preserved, stunning views over nologna, great booking Service and the guys on site.
We toured with a guided free walking tour the whole building, it is a place where the life of the commune takes place, since there the Commons works. You can climb the tower and it is recommended to do it in the afternoon as the location of the sun allows us to take better photos of the whole city.
