Boat Tour of Kinsale Harbour and Bandon River

We took a family trip last Saturday with a very special request — to place our loved one’s ashes into the water. This was an emotional moment for all of us, and it was handled with such care, respect, and kindness. He guided us gently through every step and created a peaceful, beautiful atmosphere that made the moment feel just right. The compassion, professionalism, and understanding he showed meant more than words can say. It wasn’t just a trip; it was a meaningful family experience we will always remember. Highly recommended.

Excellent morning on the water! Brian was amazing ! Very knowledgeable! He was so kind to include the kids in everything too! Exceptional time for us! So glad the sun came out too! Thank you to Brian and of course Iggy.(dog was a bonus!)

Brian...what can we say! Fabulous story teller, gracious pilot, and wonderful human. Traveled from the States with many of our kids/spouses and grandkids. We wanted to expose our family to the beauty of Kinsale. Mission accomplished on so many levels. Brian's willingness to embrace our ragtag group, involve all in our short, but meaningful journey up the river and back to the sea will be remembered positively for many moons to come. A great tour with good views of Charles fort. The guide who told us all about the sights we could see was great and he made it into a very personal experience. He also sang some Irish songs at the end and you could join in which was amazing.

Highly recommend Brian and this boat trip. He was so easy to deal with for booking and accommodating our group. Lovely trip and he was so full of fun and stories on the way round. The little doggy was an added bonus on board

What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday morning in Kinsale. You see so much from the water. Brian was a brilliant captain, fun, knowledgeable, and knew so much about the area. We booked the tour for just us and two friends, and Brian was very flexible as to what we did and where we went. We started our tour going up the river and then came back down into town and out into the harbour. We tried our hand at fishing for some mackerel but were unlucky, then we checked a lobster pot. Unfortunately no lobsters but quite a few crabs. We were very lucky to see a dolphin when coming back down the river which was an unexpected surprise. Would highly recommend Brian, his boat, and the company of his two lovely little dogs. 5* trip, the best way to explore Kinsale.

What an incredible experience. Not only is Captain Brian fun, funny and knowledgeable about the Kinsale area, he is EXCEEDINGLY flexible. I accidentally booked a non-refundable tour for my family through Viator for the wrong day (when we wouldn't even be in Ireland any longer!!) and he moved around his entire evening to accommodate. It was a highlight afternoon spent on the water and I can't thank him enough for his flexibility. The ability to hang out on the lovely boat with first mate Alfie and fish was incredible. Highly, highly recommend!
