This was amazing! Our guide Marcos was fantastic and had a huge knowledge base of the cloud forest and surrounding area! His English was flawless, sadly my spanish is not. We were able to the beautiful Resplendent Quetzal and many others!

We had 2 half day bird watching tours with Marcos - monteverde and Santa Elena. Marcos was fantastic - very skilled at finding and identifying birds from sight and sound. He was great company as well, funny and made us very comfortable and happy! He made it his mission to find us birds that he knew we should see, as well as those we already knew we’ve wanted to. He found us 3 sightings of the resplendent quetzal, motmots, and SOOOO many others! Pasion overall was very good on communication and very responsive when we had questions. Would 100% use again (and would ask for Marcos!)
We had a fantastic half day of birdwatching with Markos, who was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and enthusiastic. We learned a ton about birds, flora and the local ecosystem, and logged close to 50 species in one morning, including quetzals, keel-billed toucans, northern emerald toucanets, and white-crowned parrots. Book with them, you won't be disappointed!
Marcus took me on an epic birding tour. He picked me up 6am sharp and took me to a couple different locations. His knowledge of birds and their calls was impressive that led to us seeing 60+ species. Marcus is super knowledgeable and a gentleman as well. He helped some of the other guides find cool birds as we cruised around the trails. Everyone was happy to see him as he has an excellent rapport in the naturalist community. Great fellow too.

Our guide for bird watching was enthusiastic and knowledgeable so we learned in depth about migration, nesting and bird calls. With his lenses and equipment, we were able to see even tiny birds up close and take pictures.

These were the best birding tours I have ever been on. What a thrill to see a male and female quetzal and their baby! Marcos was not only a superior birding guide, but he worked tirelessly to find the birds we were looking for, and even took pictures for us.

Marcos’ passion converted my 20 year old daughter and I into birders for the day! The trip was for my 79 year old mother who is an avid birdwatcher. Marcos was able to customize the tour for her to maximize bird count without having to walk far. We saw 30 species in 3 locations. He was determined for us to see the male Quetzal and he was able to track it down by listening and calling. He even spent more time with us than we had paid for with no questions asked. Mission accomplished! Marcos is personable, knowledgeable and fun to spend time with. He knows all the other guides and workers and is obviously well-liked in the community.
