Amazingl experience the crew was fantastic 👏 Highly recommend 👌
The staff was great and the experience was great. However, the description states that each stop would be 1 and a half hours. I even have a screenshot stating this. However, we spent a total of 25 minutes with the star fish and then 40 minutes at bio bay. We were on the boat at 6:30 and back at the dock at 8:30. So even if they say travel time is factored in, we were still only given 2 hours instead of 3 hours. As mentioned, the experience itself was great so the shortened time definitely was felt. The biggest reason this was upsetting to me was that we chose to take this tour instead of chartering a private boat which would’ve been less expensive by over $100. But I justified the extra cost because of the additional hour. The private charter was described as only 2 hours. I hate leaving a less than 5 star review but I feel like i was honestly misled. We had a group of four and as i mentioned, it would’ve been about $150 cheaper if we had gone with the private boat if overall the time spent in the water and on the boat was the same.
Capt. Michael and crew were friendly and wonderful.
Crew was nice and friendly. Starfish point was interesting and staff did a good job narrating the experience. However, the Bioluminescent tour was highly disappointing: 1) the glow in the dark was very underwhelming - there was very little of it. A few folks were able to generate more glow underneath the boat but not much around it. 2) Mosquitos! There were a ton of it in the water and my family was bitten multiple times in the face, especially in the water. Staff could have warned us about this beforehand and have some treatment on board. Overall, a mostly disappointing experience and I can't recommend this tour based on our experience.
This was a great experience for my family in the Caymans. We were traveling with my two teenage kids and they both loved it. We took a picturesque boat ride to star fish point and then a quick boat ride to the bio bay after sunset. This is a must do if you are visiting. The captain and his crew were amazing as well!
DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR AND DO NOT USE VIATOR. I hardly ever write bad reviews. I always personally reach out to the business to give them a chance to make things right privately before leaving a poor review. This experience was quite poor, both because of the tour operator itself and because of Viator's poor responsiveness. This tour operator directed us (in writing) to meet the boat at a location out on Rum Point. We were there on time, but the boat did not show up. We tried reaching the operator via the Viator messaging platform and were told that the staff were waiting for us at an entirely different location (an hour drive away). When we asked what we should do, they just stopped responding to our messages. The only way that we were able to get in contact with the operator was because a kind man who was working for a different tour company happened to have the cell phone of one of the staff and contacted them for us. Eventually, the boat showed up to pick us up, but it was after they had already gone to the starfish portion of the tour, so we missed that entirely. They took us to Bio Bay, but the tour only stayed there for about 20 minutes before they turned around and dropped us back at the pick up location. The staff admitted the problem, but when I contacted them through Viator and asked for what I believed was a modest refund (50%), they refused entirely. I wrote to them directly to again give them another chance to make things right, but they refused to respond at all. I do not recommend this tour or anything run by this operator. I also do not think that Viator itself did enough to help make this right and will no longer be using Viator to book experiences.
Super cool experience. Check the moon illumination and schedule for a dark night. My young adult Daughter loved it. Snorkeling in dark water, but easy to do.
The crew was fantastic. Very friendly and professional. They spent lots of time navigating the bay to find the best place to experience the phenomenon. Book closer to a new moon if possible. Highly recommend. Once in a lifetime experience.
The crew was professional, friendly, funny, and informative. Very cool experience! Our first stop was Starfish Point, unfortunately the mosquitos were inside. This is out of anyone’s control and it didn’t dampen the experience. Bio Bay was such a cool experience.
What an incredible experience! I highly recommend this bioluminescent tour. Our guides were fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire trip. They provided fascinating information about the bioluminescence and made the experience both enjoyable and memorable.
