Best Turkey 8-Day Tour: Istanbul, Cappadocia, Pamukkale, Ephesus

My 19 year old daughter and I have just completed the Best of Turkey tour, and it exceeded all of our expectations. We had limited time to discover Turkey so we decided that this tour was the best option for us. As Australians visiting Turkey for the first time, I was initially quite anxious about travelling due to media coverage of conflicts in different parts of the world. From the moment we arrived at Istanbul Airport, however, we were welcomed with warmth and professionalism by a Fez representative, who ensured we were promptly transferred to our hotel. While on the tour bus, I received a phone call from our Istanbul guide, Omer, who would be taking us on the Bosphorus Ferry tour the following day. Omer was very knowledgeable and happy to answer my many questions. From that very first conversation, both my daughter and I felt completely safe, comfortable, and well looked after. The following day, Omer met us exactly on time for our tour of Istanbul. All drop off and pick up locations were seamless, and we were then escorted to the airport for our flight to Cappadocia. Prior to arriving in Cappadocia, I was contacted by our guide, Turgay, and I already felt confident that our tour would be outstanding. Upon arriving in Cappadocia, we were warmly welcomed at the airport by our driver, Mustafa, who promptly transferred us to our accommodation. The next day we were met by Turgay, and began what turned out to be an exceptional six day, five night journey. Throughout the tour, Mustafa and Turgay were consistently punctual, friendly, and professional. Mustafa always managed to drop us off and collect us from the most convenient locations, which was especially appreciated in the summer heat. Turgay accompanied us throughout the tour, providing fascinating historical and cultural insights that brought each destination to life. He was always enthusiastic, incredibly knowledgeable, and more than happy to answer my endless questions with patience. We could not have asked for a better driver and tour guide. At every stage, we felt genuinely cared for, safe, and exceptionally well looked after. Mustafa and Turgay worked together seamlessly, making our experience both relaxing and unforgettable. Our experience has convinced us that Fez Travel carefully selects outstanding drivers and tour guides. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our tour from start to finish and would highly recommend Fez Travel to anyone considering travelling to Turkey. Every day of this fascinating tour around Turkey was a highlight! I will never forget the feeling of awe when looking into an ancient Neolithic city, or at the walls of a cave covered in sacred paintings from the first century BC, or the ruins of the magnificent ancient city of Ephesus. Our most excellent guide, Turgay, brought these places vividly to life in his proud, passionate and energetic way. Our driver Mustafa, was always respectful, on time and very safe. An awesome experience!

Literally the Best of Turkey. You will not be disappointed by this itinerary. Full of nature and history. Please do the optional Balloon flight over Cappadocia. 10/10 Accommodation excellent. Fantastic introduction to Turkey and the wonderful sights. Our tour guide Turgay was right up there with the very best, friendly, efficient, flexible and extremely knowledgable.

We just returned from our “Best of Turkey” trip. We started out in Istanbul where we added an extra day to explore the City with our guide Emre. Emre is so knowledgeable about the History of Istanbul and the History of Turkey. We really got a deep dive into the historical context of Istanbul, Cappadocia, Konya, Pamukkale, Ephesus etc. Emre was of course also our guide during the Tour of the various destinations. The 8 days were wonderful and Emre was an outstanding guide. Thank you Emre and Fez Travel.

We had an 8-day private tour organised by Fez Travel in Istanbul & Cappadocia. This included hotel stays, internal flights, airport transfers, tours & balloon ride. Everything went very smoothly and they promptly reorganised our balloon flight to the next day when it was cancelled due to weather, rescheduling our other tour to swap days. The tour guides were all very knowledgeable and fun and all drivers polite. I would heartily recommend Fez Travel to anyone visiting Turkey!

What a great trip. Our guide Tamer was amazing, full of knowledge, attentive and friendly. Mustn't forget our driver Hekim who did a great job. Really happy with the itinerary, although a day or so of free (rest) time would have been nice.

Tamer was our guide on this tour and he was excellent. Very helpful and a great sense of humour, his knowledge of Türkiye is exceptional. He gave us great advice regarding restaurants and shopping.

This tour was perfect for a first visit to Turkey. We were able to see amazing places in a short time, and truly got a taste of what Turkey has to offer. Our guide, Turgay, was an absolute gem. He is kind and was patient (my mother is elderly). He took time to explain the history of each place we visited and when we wanted to do additional things, he was more than prepared to help. He has outstanding knowledge of every place we were. Nothing was too much trouble for him. We asked a million questions and he was always accommodating of our needs or questions. The driver was just as lovely and we felt safe every second. This tour ensured that I will return to Turkey.
