The area has been inhabited since the Bronze Age, and the site now occupied by the Cittadella is believed to have been the acropolis of the Punic-Roman city of Gaulos or Glauconis Civitas
Santa Marija Tower in Comino. Built in 1618 by Grand Master de Wignacourt, it formed part of a system of towers providing defence and communication between the Cittadella in Gozo and Mdina
The Blue Lagoon in Comino is a must visit attraction when visiting the Maltese Islands

Rating We booked the tour with Giancarlo and our expectations were truly exceeded! I believe Giancarlo has been doing this his whole life – he is absolutely professional, caters very individually to the wishes of his guests, and pays special attention to a family's budget so that you get the maximum value for it. We actually needed three appointments until we finally booked the tour. Giancarlo didn't let that show at all, though, and advised us just as kindly, patiently, and thoroughly every time as he did during the first appointment. We found that truly extraordinary. The crew members were also great! We started at 10 a.m. in the morning and were out until 5:30 p.m. – all inclusive with food and drinks. It was truly an all-around successful experience.
