Marta was our wonderful guide. She introduced us to some of the best and iconic food in Berlin. She provided interesting background information on the types of food that we sampled. She also made everyone comfortable and ensured we all had a good time and got the food we wanted to try. Everyone left full of delicious food and more than satisfied with Marta. I highly recommend this tour, especially if Marta is the guide.
We are big fans of food tours and have taken part in many culinary tours around the world. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing food tours we have ever experienced. The guide was wonderful—friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging—and the company of the other participants was pleasant and fun. However, the food selection and variety were very limited, and we were disappointed by the places chosen to introduce tourists to the local food scene. Charging a relatively high price for a food tour and then taking participants to eat Turkish döner kebab and a donut simply does not feel like a proper culinary tour. Overall, it was a very disappointing culinary experience. Based on our extensive experience with food tours around the world, we expected much more and left feeling very disappointed.
4 hour food tour with 10 other people. Our guide Marta was very nice and knowledgeable and took us to 4 venues. Food was plentiful and the tour finished with beer tasting. Highly recommended.
Our tour guide Anna was wonderful! At first I was worried about meeting up with the tour because it seemed like meetup instructions were somewhat vague and there’s large area that could be interpreted from the instructions. But after we wandered around looking for the logo or color of the company, I got a call from our tour guide on WhatsApp and we connected (meeting place was just where we had guessed, but when it wasn’t immediately apparent we started wandering a bit farther away). Anna was a wonderful tour guide. She walked at a reasonable pace, gave us history and trivia about Berlin and the food here, and we got to eat and drink to boot! She also had a good sense of humor and we laughed and learned a lot. From a value standpoint, you could probably buy all the food and drink for like half the cost of the tour, but then you wouldn't get all the knowledge, and wouldn’t necessarily pick good vendors. So for me, it was totally worth the price.
Nicole was a perfect guide! She shared history of the area and of the food. We enjoyed her and learned more than we expected. Each site was ready for us and the food and beverages were quite tasty. We were a small friendly group .
