Memorial of the Berlin Wall
It was built by the Soviet Union in 1961 and separated the capital into eastern and western districts until it was torn down in the 1990s. The remnants of what’s left are all plastered in graffiti, and you’ll hear about the mood of the city’s two halves during the time it was split.
Brandenburg Gate
It is an 18th century Neoclassical monument that takes pride of place near the centre of the city. This giant pillared archway is the perfect backdrop for selfies – just make sure you get the horse-drawn chariot on top in frame.
Bebelplatz
It is a square in the Mitte district that’s home to the Berline State Opera and St. Hedwig’s Cathedral – the latter’s over 250 years old.

Hear the history of Berlin
Very positive experience with a very prepared, kind and helpful guide. We left from the Brandenburg Gate and after 3 hours we arrived at the royal palace, ranging from recent to past history. Opinion: Very good
