Berlengas Island Catamaran Tour - Round Trip

Description
Enjoy a different day on this 4 to 5h mini cruise where we will take you to see extreme beauty places along the coast of Peniche. Upon arriving at the island you can walk the trails; take a boat tour of the caves(10€); visit Fort St. John, the Baptist, or pass by the Duke of Bragança Lighthouse. The Berlengas archipelago is a group of small islands located 5.7 miles off the coast of Peniche and comprises Berlenga, Estelas, and Farilhões islands. Berlenga is the only inhabited island. In 2011 UNESCO classified the Berlengas as a “World Biosphere Reserve”, which is indicative of the rich fauna and flora that can be found on the islands. Very often dolphins come to pay us a visit and swim by boat! Drones forbidden

Antonio and Ricardo were both amazing, good boat skills and very knowledgeable on the bridges, general area and multiple buildings. We had a very poor experience on an unrelated hotel just before we got here which really had put a dampener on the mood for my spouse and I and they both did an amazing job to recover the vibes for us. A high quality of wine was used and we left a bit later because they wanted us to see the sunset and the time frame we had booked at was a bit too early so that was great for them to do with us. Would absolutely recommend them every time and if we ever come back to porto, will love to do it again even.
The trip to and from the island was fairly comfortable. The ocean was not too rough that day. We sat on the upper deck and had a good breeze and good views. It is basically an expensive, more comfortable ferry ride. However, we saw the ferry and it’s much more crowded. When I booked, the site said, “from €29.90” but when I went to pay it was €99 for 2 people. I did not see the option for the cave tour, so we missed out on that. The beach in Berlengas was super crowded and there was a lack of shade in the cafe, so definitely bring a hat and sunscreen. But it was an interesting trip.
Very punctual, nice crew. Cool boat with the first floor open-air
A wonder, the islands are very beautiful, the boat punctual and the workers very friendly, highly recommended!
Nice ride to Berlengas. The boat was very clean but this isn’t an island tour, it’s just a guaranteed spot on the ferry with a return trip.
Hello, good afternoon, Thank you very much for the excellent 4-star rating. Regarding the tour, you only purchased a round trip to Berlenga Island, Catamaran Tour to Berlengas Island - round trip You could have chose for other options which include activities such as cave tours, snorkeling, and even Stand Up Paddle. we are extremely pleased that you enjoyed the tour and the cleanliness that our catamarans offer to the public.
I AM COPYING A COMMENT POSTED ON GOOGLE. TRULY: DO NOT GO UNTIL THEY RESOLVE THE OVERPOPULATION OF GULLS THEY HAVE. IT IS DANGEROUS. I give it one star because I can't give it zero... we had a reservation at eleven and we left at eleven thirty (supposedly because an employee was feeling unwell). The return was supposed to be at five and they also delayed it to six fifteen. No more boats were leaving before (at least not since two o'clock, which is, at most, the time you realize there is nothing else to do on that island crowded with seagulls). Then, starting at six in the evening, four boats left, one every fifteen minutes. What sense does it make? Why spend money at the restaurant when aside from swimming in a piece of water, you can't do much else without being attacked by seagulls... a bad idea... don't go... P.S.: I posted this comment on the company Berlengatrip, which was the one that ended up taking us to the island, and an employee came to coerce me to remove it. Since I didn't remove it when getting off the boat, another one with the same purpose was waiting for me. Moreover, I repeatedly asked the Berlengatrip employee not to say anything to me, and he continued invading my space and trying to get me to remove the comment. It is the responsibility of EVERYONE to take people to that island full of seagulls during breeding season, where you run a serious risk of being attacked. An employee acknowledged the problem they had. The Berlenga Islands right now are not nature; the Berlenga Islands have a plague that is destroying the island's fauna and flora. Please, don't go because it's not worth it. Portugal has a thousand beautiful things to see and not that... as long as the seagulls are a problem, don't go.... P.S.2: It will not weigh on my conscience to deceive people into going to an island with an overpopulation of seagulls and a serious danger to its visitors. P.S.3: In the Berlenga Islands, the overpopulation of yellow-legged gulls (Larus michahellis) represents a serious environmental and safety problem. This opportunistic species threatens the survival of other endemic seabirds (such as the shearwater or the puffin), damages native flora, contaminates the water, and tends to attack tourists during breeding season. Impact of Seagulls on the Berlengas Threat to biodiversity: They are very territorial and opportunistic birds that devour the eggs and chicks of other native species. Habitat degradation: Their nests and waste severely alter the soil and destroy endemic and sensitive vegetation. Aggressions to visitors: During the nesting season (May to July), seagulls become very aggressive to protect their chicks, even pecking and attacking tourists who walk along the paths. Pollution: The high concentration of these birds has been associated in the past with the deterioration of water quality in the bathing area.
Atentamente We are sorry that your experience was not what you expected, but we would like to clarify the situation, as there is a significant misunderstanding in your review. You did not purchase your tickets with our company, but with an external third-party company (Viam...r). The initial delay occurred because a crew member from that other company suddenly fell ill and they cancelled the service. To prevent you from missing your trip to the island, our company offered its own boats to transport the affected passengers, even though you were not our customers. The return schedules and logistics for that afternoon were organized to evacuate all passengers from the island safely. In fact, the rest of the travelers were very grateful to our crew for rescuing them and guaranteeing their round trip.We are sorry that the nature of the island (including the seagulls) was not to your liking, but that is something completely beyond our control. As we explained to you in detail on board our boat, any claim regarding the service, schedules, or your tickets must be made directly to the company where you made the purchase. Sincerely
This was just for the boat ride to the island. It was advertised as a glass bottom boat ride but it was a gigantic catamaran. The glass bottom boat was apparently separate and additional costs involved. We were lucky to get on it but weren’t expecting the additional cost. Also it would have been nice to know what to expect once on the island. We would have packed food and swimsuits f we knew we could swim and spend time there. It was just poorly explained by viator.

An amazing day out, the boat ride was really amazing, and loved the rough ocean. The Berlenga Island was stunning and well worth doing the cave trip. Ensure you take warm clothing as the wind can be quite cold. An experience we will never forget and thank you to the whole team.
