It was adorable!!!!! They did such a great job explaining the myths of Trolls, how they became known of in Norway, etc. The special effects were so well thought out. Wished I could bring my grandbabies through this cute museum!

This museum was so cute! Obviously, I learned a lot about trolls but also other Norwegian mythical creatures and fairy tales. It is great for kids but also fun for adults.

Nice little museum but very cluttered. A tablet is provided at the entrance for you to listen to or read the stories related to the trolls. Allow yourself time for this visit, and if reading scares you, move along! The information is numerous and dense. One can quickly give up in the face of so much information. Special mention for the reception staff, as friendly as a barn door.

It starts off well with the mythological stories, which are very interesting. Unfortunately, in the middle of the visit, they abandoned the cultural aspect for the purely fun side. It gives the impression that they wanted to make it last without having much more to say. A few fun activities, but overall nothing transcendent. The audio guide also had network issues, which meant the text cut out regularly.

It's not exactly boring here, but not particularly fun either. Small children might find it interesting, but given how deeply trolls are embedded in the culture in Norway (as well as in Sweden), I think there could have been more rewarding, more artistic and thought-provoking installations for adults. So don't prioritize the museum, I mean, if you don't have small children maybe.

It's well created but very heavy content with a lot of names and places. There were activities for kids and a few interactive exhibits that were great. Sadly, it was quite hot and stuffy inside.

We spent a couple of hours at the Troll Museum with our 11 yr old grandson. The exhibits were more scholarly than I expected—I would have liked more time to peruse but they did not hold a child’s interest. He really liked the scavenger hunt and there were friendly helpful guides for when he got stuck. We arrived soon after opening and by the time we left it was much more crowded. Come early.
