Description
Benagil Cave can only be visited by boat, and sea conditions determine how close you can get. From Lagos, this private cruise travels by luxury yacht along the Algarve coast toward Benagil, passing Alvor, Praia da Rocha, and Carvoeiro, with opportunities to spot dolphins and see beaches, cliffs, grottos, and caves. You’ll view the cave from the water, as guests cannot leave the boat inside, and if access is not possible, the captain will choose an alternative experience. Spend time at Praia de Vau or Alvor Lagoon swimming, using the paddleboards and snorkeling equipment, listening to music, and relaxing with drinks, bottled water, and snacks. If conditions and time allow, the return route may include Ponte da Piedade’s rock formations and caves before returning to Lagos Marina.

An unforgettable cruise awaits you as you relax on board our luxury yacht Pocahontas.
We will start the excursion by leaving Lagos Marina and heading down the river next to the Avenue Descobrimentos. We will then head east cruising the stunning coastline past Alvor, Praia da Rocha, Carvoeiro and then to Benagil. The Benagil cave is the most famous sea cave in Portugal. We will try to get as close to the cave as possible depending on the sea conditions.
Afterwards we will head west to the stunning bay at Praia de Vau or into the Alvor Lagoon. Here you can relax, swim, paddleboard, snorkel, listen to music, drink and have some snacks.
We will then head back towards the marina and if time permits we will show you the magnificent rock formations and caves at Ponte de Piedade.
Exploring this region on our luxury private yacht whilst escaping the crowds, is an unforgettable experience.

Amazing!

Brilliant!
Brilliant! They were so nice and accommodating, drove us round and gave us facts about the rock formations and gave us a paddleboard and kayak for an hour and a half, great fun!

Best boat trip ever
Captain Nick & Sue are the best hosts ever!! Had a private tour, info about all the sights and had soooooo much fun thank you so much. Will book again when I return and highly recommend

Beautiful Day on the Water
We had a great time touring the spectacular coastline! The captain and crew were great -- they were incredible hosts, very knowledgeable, and took us to the most beautiful and scenic spots. We plan to come back and do a full day next year. We highly recommend booking with Lagos Boat Charter if you are considering a private experience over a group tour (it's worth it)!

Incredible way to spend a day in the Algarve!
Lagos Boat Charter was such a fantastic experience - cannot recommend them highly enough! Starting with Jenny, who was so wonderful in her responses and provided great service and support in setting us up all the way to the actual day with Nick and Ethan on board. Everyone went to great lengths to make sure we had a great day - providing incredible recommendations and information about the area. They are really lovely people and we so enjoyed our time on the boat. Consider it a must do if you are in the Algarve!
