Great Belizian cooking class!
We loved our cooking class today. Oscar was a great instructor and threw in some fun little tidbits along the way.
The dishes we made were delicious! I was fun to sit at the restaurant and eat what we made after class. So good!
Operator response
Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re delighted you enjoyed the class with Oscar and, of course, the delicious dishes you made. 😊

Delicious
Fun experience and great food. Learned a lot about Central American an Mayan food, and tried some new (local CA) fruits / veggies, as the staff was fun and knowledgable. In addition to making ceviche, we made three pupusas (one was a dessert pupusa), each. So much food that we asked for to go boxes!
Tour was slightly shorter than 3 hours - about 2 hours to make the food and then we ate around noon.
This is hosted in the restaurant - open air, so it's a bit loud with golf carts and such passing by.
Operator response
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're delighted that you enjoyed learning about Central American and Mayan cuisine, trying local fruits and vegetables, and making ceviche and pupusas with our team. It was a pleasure having you, and we hope to welcome you again on your next visit to Belize! 😊

They never told us we had...
They never told us we had to take a boat to another island from where the ship docked . If we had missed our boat it would have cost us more then we lost . We had no way to contact them until we got back to the states . So we lost all the money we paid . Learned a lesson book threw the cruise ship only
Operator response
We understand your situation and the frustration this may have caused.
The location of the class is clearly stated in the activity description, and we regret that you did not have the opportunity to contact us in advance, as some participants do via email or phone to let us know about a possible delay or difficulty. This would have allowed us to offer you alternative solutions.
If you ever return to Belize, we would be delighted to welcome you back and offer you this course under better conditions.

Learned a new skill!
Our kids and us really enjoyed this activity, we learned a new skill in a relaxing atmosphere and got to taste the fruits of our labor. The teachers were helpful and knowledgeable. It was a good break from the other more physically active activities we were doing on vacation.
Operator response

It was like visiting family!
My husband, son, and I attended this cooking class on 3/17. We had a blast. The food was delicious, and we were being taught by the family's elder (grandma). Grandma gave us a lot of kitchen gems that I plan to use at home, and she taught us a lot regarding food preparation. I highly recommend this tour!
Operator response
Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re thrilled you and your family had such a great time. It means a lot to hear you enjoyed the food and learned from grandma—she truly loves sharing her knowledge. We hope to welcome you again soon!

Had a great time with authentic experience!
My daughter and I wanted an “experience” on our trip to San Pedro and this certainly was a great pick! She made shrimp ceviche and I made the lobster ceviche (u pic the seafood u want to use)! We made 3 different papusas and learned much about the mayan culture! Then we got to sit down with all who participated and have a meal of what we had made! Learned about how important the sunshine is to mayans and eggs! and all their cosmetic uses! So much info-the times goes by way too quickly! thank u for an awesome time!!
Operator response
