With everyone on board, the day begins with a two hour drive from Dublin to Belfast. Sit back and watch Dublin city fade into the background as we enter the green Irish countryside and receive a primer to the history and culture of Northern Ireland from your guide.
Half way to Belfast we'll leave the highway and make a short pit stop at the haunting ruins of Monasterboice. See an amazing 10th century stone round tower in pristine condition and learn how our ancestors sought refuge there from vicious Viking raids in the area. Touch the most beautiful hand carved stone Celtic crosses in Ireland, standing tall over the Irish countryside for over 1,000 years.

Explore the shipyard, travel to the depths of the ocean and uncover the true legend of Titanic, in the city and dockside where it all began.Enjoy approximately 120 minutes to explore the exhibition at leisure, your entrance fee (GBP 19.00) will be included in the cost of your tour.

We'll regroup around 16:00 and head back towards Dublin. After crossing the border we'll return through the rolling countryside of County Louth. We'll make a comfort stop en-route if required and drop you off in Dublin at approximately 18:30.

Due to rainy weather and protests in Belfast, our tour was not typical. But our guide, Colin, helped make the most of our day by guiding us to St. George’s Market in Belfast and by providing a wealth of Irish history. Titanic Museum was well-presented.
Keith was our driver and tour guide told great stories and told us a lot about Ireland. Titanic Experience was truly WOW!
Our tour was outstanding at the Titanic. Wish we had more time. Many facts on building the ship and what caused it to hit the iceberg. Another fact it shows the actual site not only where it was built and launched. We took the black taxi tour in Belfast learned a lot about the Bombing and the IRA. Highly recommend this addition on this tour you will not regret it.
The Titanic exhibit and Black Cab tour of Belfast are both fantastic and highly recommended. The bus trip us was just OK. Our bus had issues, showed up late and didn’t seem able to go over 50mph so it took a looooong time to get from Dublin up to Belfast. We did stop at an old cemetery and see Celtic ‘High’ Crosses on the way so that made up for the extra time (somewhat). Overall it was an 11.5 hour trip so don’t believe any write up saying it is 6 hours. The Black Cab tour is cash-only so be sure to bring 25 GBP or 30 Euro per person if you want this extension.
I highly recommend The Troubles tour– the driver was excellent in presenting both sides of the loyalist/Republic and protestant/Catholic conflict. Depressing that there still is such a divide. I highly appreciated his honesty and historical information. The Titanic experience was truly amazing. There was no fluff involved. It was several floors detailing the shipyard, the building of the Titanic, passengers, survivors, the analysis of what went wrong, etc. It was so well done. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The drive was easy and enjoyable, especially the stop we did. However, I felt the driver tried too hard to entertain us in the van rather than share history and culture for us to know and allow quiet time, too.
High price. The value of the tour in Taxi black is high: 30€ per person! The tour guide could have given more information about Ireland.
The main purpose of our trip from Dublin to Belfast was The Titanic Experience. Unfortunately, we did not get our full allocation of time in the Titanic Museum (only got 1 1/2 hours) before we had to be back for pick up and therefore the experience felt rushed. Disappointing as we would have preferred more time here.
Titanic stuff horrible: no help, no attention to people, only stupid jokes! I prefer bus driver be guide in museum. That ll be real tour.
It was nice to see Belfast on a festival day and the titanic museum. It was 90 minutes longer due to traffic and stops to drop off and pick up other tour guests. A 10 hour tour took 11.5 hours. That was frustrating. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly.
The Booking was very easy - highly recommend the black taxi tour, a must do. The tour guide made the day. Very educational. Dealt sensitively with different subjects and made it a fun and memorable day
