Great experience we learned a lot that we did not know about the troubles in N Ireland. George, our guide, had lived through the heart of these time having been shot himself and having lost his best friend. His insight as to what caused it and how to end it was wonderful. A must do if you are here for the first time!

This was a wonderful tour and a real highlight of our time in Ireland, both the North of Ireland and the Republic. Our guide, Gerry, was extremely knowledgable about the political history of Belfast. We traveled with our 10-year-old, and he also made sure the tour was interesting and accessible for him. A really excellent experience that we would recommend to anyone, especially if you're interested in Irish history.

Brenden was knowledgeable, informative, patient under questioning, and charming. You would have to go far to get a better guide than Brenden. Highly recommended. We came away with a much better understanding of Northern Island.

We were told to take a Black Cab tour when we visited Belfast to get insight into the "Troubles". One was sold out months in advance, but I thought I got lucky with this one having availability. I'm not sure it was luck. While it was a memorable experience, it was also an uncomfortable one with our driver's personal connection to the turmoil not allowing for a particularly balanced presentation. It was a more emotional and intense morning than we had bargained for.

A two hour deep dive into the past (violent) and present (political/social) troubles of Belfast. Told with wit and wisdom by a fellow who lived it. Brendan was a marvelous guide and managed to convey a detailed picture of the horror of the conflict while offering a hopeful message about the future. Do not miss!

We met Ricky and he gave us a lovely welcome and proceeded to give us a much needed reminder of Irish history ….we had forgotten a lot since our school days so it was a great backdrop to the tour.
