This temple, Iglesia Parroquial Mayor de Úbeda, constitutes the most significant overlapping of architectural styles in the city. The Church of San Pablo, is the second oldest and most important temple in the city of Úbeda, after Santa María de los Reales Alcázares. This temple was erected in the 13th century on a neighborhood mosque, but we owe its current Gothic morphology to the restoration paid for by Bishop Alonso Suárez de la Fuente del Sauce.
It is one of the smallest churches in Úbeda and one of the most impressive. Neo-Renaissance style; It consists of three naves with a transept, covered by half-barrel vaults and a half-orange dome with a prominent lantern on the transept. Its beautiful exterior with bichromatic tiling stands out.

The Synagogue of Water is made up of six unique spaces, of which it is worth highlighting the ritual purification bath room or Mikveh, a space dedicated to ritual purification baths so common in Jewish customs. Another of the spaces that should be mentioned and that can be seen during the visit is the Gallery of Women, a place occupied by women during ceremonies and rites hidden behind lattices. The “Del Inquisidor” room, with the patio, cellar and ovens, correspond to the dependencies that made up, in the Middle Ages, the possible house of the rabbi.

A break next to it will provide a spectacular view of the square of the same name.

It is worth listening to the information from a professional. A very good visit
We recommend purchasing the tourist pass. It is worth it without a doubt. You have flexibility to choose days and times to carry out the visits to Úbeda and Baeza and, if you are lucky enough to be accompanied by a guide like Sergio (Artificis), in Úbeda, success is guaranteed. A PROFESSIONAL who conveys and who, in addition to gifting us a tour of Úbeda that we will never forget, gave us several recommendations, such as visiting the Church of San Lorenzo, which was quite a discovery and, if Sergio is good, Juanmi, is spectacular. I would skip the visit to the Museum of San Juan de la Cruz. Each tour lasted about 2 and a half hours, with very complete routes, very detailed and pleasant explanations, with every luxury of detail. Both guides were very considerate of my mother, her age, and the hills, which is appreciated. Great professionals who made our visit an unforgettable experience. We would have skipped the audio system in Baeza because it did not work well.
Our experience was incredible. Both cities are amazing, pure Spanish renascence in its biggest expression. With 2,5h per city you can only have a preliminary scratch of the surface of the whole history of these cities, you exit the visit with a ton of questions. Value for the money absolutely worth. Both of the guides (Baeza - Alejandro and Ubeda - Laura) were incredible story tellers, so you could feel the atmosphere of the heritage of the city at its best. Groups of 8-10 people, so quite easy to handle.
The visit to Úbeda with Andrea was impressive, and we were amazed and delighted by the water synagogue. And Baeza was wonderful; the guide made the visit very enjoyable and revealed a marvelous space to us. Thanks to both guides for showing us these wonders and for doing it with so much care.
Excellent guides and entertaining and entertaining information. Very complete visit
The guides have a wide knowledge about the city, history and monuments, but above all they put a personal style and passion that make the visit very enjoyable
Clara, our guide in Ubeda has been amazing. He has detailed all our consultations and the visits have been very didactic and fun. A great experience.
Very nice guides, and very nice explanations. The tour was short, and that lasted two and a half hours.
A GREAT EXPERIENCE, with very attentive staff, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, both SERGIO in ÚBEDA, and SEBAS in BAEZA, gave a magnificent explanation of their cities, with extensive knowledge, both of the exteriors and interiors that corresponded to the visit. They made a pleasant and didactic visits, which met our expectations. Come on, we got short. To highlight something of such rich heritage, undoubtedly for its uniqueness in all aspects, THE WATER SYNAGOGUE IN ÚBEDA
Totally unknown place for me, it is a magical environment, absolutely recommended, it is beautiful and very instructive
