The Highlight of Three Weeks in France
Lena gave my wife andI an incredible private tour of Mont Saint Michel from Bayeux. Lena pours her heart and head into her work. She has a passion for Mont Saint Michel, and is truly an historian of the island and abbey.
And what an incredible place it is! Notre Dame is an historic cathedral. Lena outsmarted the crowd — after Paris, MSM is the second most visited venue in France — by taking a different route to the top of the abbey and then down through it.
Mont Saint Michel was the last — and best — day of our three week tour of France. For us, it topped the French Riviera, was better than the poppies in bloom in Provence, better than our memorable 5-star food tour of Montmartre in Paris. Only the Normandy D-Day beaches and the American Cemetery above Omaha beach rivaled Mont Saint Michel.
Operator response
Dear Craig,
Thank you so much for your kind and generous words. It was truly a pleasure to spend the day with you and your wife at Mont Saint Michel. I’m touched that the visit left such a lasting impression.
I was happy to share not only the history of the island and abbey, but also the deeper meaning this unique place holds for me. Mont Saint Michel is more than just a monument. It’s a space that speaks to the soul and invites reflection. I’m so glad it became one of the highlights of your journey through France.
Wishing you both all the best, and perhaps one day, our paths will cross again.
