Maddalen was a most excellent tour guide! She was full of enthusiasm and she is from the Basque country so her knowledge of the culture and the way of life was gained by experience. The tour was informative, and the food was fantastic! We are so full we are not eating dinner tonight! The whole thing was wonderful! Without a doubt this tour and afternoon was one of the highlights of our visit to Basque Country! Amiable Telmo was our host and guide. He aptly described the cider process from orchard to bottling at the family run Sideria Ola located in the lovely countryside outside of Irun. We entered the massive dining hall and cellar and discovered we were the only tourists there. As other reviews point out, the food (and cider) were delicious but the atmosphere was really something special as locals sang, drank, and ate the afternoon away. To take part in this time honoured "Txotx" tradition was a treat to remember. Probably the best money we spent on a tour. Exceptional value and time well spent!

This was an excellent experience. Group of 6 adults who had a blast. Tasting the cider direct from the barrels was a once in a lifetime experience. So much fun trying different ones while also enjoying a great meal. Telmo our driver was on time, easy to meet up with and a great conversationalist throughout the day. This s a no-brainer way to spend a half day in San Sebastian.
